ella~bella I also give both my boys roobos tea with no sugar but my mom stayed with us a while back and gave the eldest suger in his tea adn now he is hooked on sugary tea. I have slowly weaned him from 2 spoons to half a spoon, gradual process but I will get there!

My mum told me that when I was little, she didn't put sugar in our tea... then we went to my grandma and she put sugar in our tea. It was only after a while my mum noticed that the reason why we refused her tea was due to the no sugar!

So once you have tickled those taste buds, you can't turn back.

You are doing your child a favour as you set the grounds for drinking water. I think a lot of us struggle to drink water, maybe if we got use to it at an early stage, we wouldn't have a problem now.

I had a fight with one of the moms last year at Jade's school cos I refuse to give Jade hotdogs! I think they are full pig willy's and trotters and nitrates and crap and they are the biggest choking hazard ever.

She was like all kids eat hotdogs!

Told her she is welcome feed her child pig penis and nitrates like you even know what that is but I refuse to let my child eat it... She just looked at me....

02JoJo dont worry you are not alone. My LG moved to the junior class at school and they also started giving mixed juice 2 times a day and I just asked the teacher nicely that she only get her water.
At home I give her diluted grapejuice sometimes as a treat and she will drink some of our ice tea if we are out.

I only figured out the juice thing at school after a week and she was already starting to get fussy about having water again (she never had a problem before) but now she is fine with having water again.
WELL DONE on keeping him on water it is so good for them and us!
