After I read Natasja's reply re the Kiddy-Calm, I was a bit sceptical but thought I would give it a try (desperate times call for desperate measures!) and I can honestly say it does work!

I've used it for 4 nights now and my lg has slept through the night for the past 2 nights. A full 9 hours sleep, and not once did she wake up for her dummy! I can't think that she has ever slept through the night completely. This is absolute bliss - I feel human again :silly:

Do yourselves a favour and try it out - it is worth trying if it means you could have a couple of hours extra sleep :)

Hi ladies

My LG (now 1 yr) slept through since about 5 months...well, by sleeping through I mean that we put a bottle next to her in her cot and when she did wake up, she'd take her bottle and feed herself & go back to sleep by herself :)

NOW, after turning 1...all hell broke loose! EVERY morning at about 3am, she eakes up, stands up in her cot, looks towards our bed ad starts crying for us to take her. First softly, like a moan, then progressively louder till she is screaming! I have no idea what has changed! Maybe with all the winter blankies she now has trouble finding her bottle? I have no idea but intend finding out and getting back to a full night's sleep. This is a shock to our system. & when we pt her in our bed...SILENCE!

Anyone else experienced a baby who did sleep through 7 suddenly didn't anymore?

My son never slept through until he was 2.

My daughter slept through until she was a year and only last year (at 6) did she start sleeping through!

Hi everyone!

I don't want to sound like a "grammefoon plaat wat casual nie" but really do yourselves a favour and at least try my advise!

Kiddy-Calm really DO WORK for my kids! If you are afraid that I am only saying this to sell my business, go out and buy tons of Epsom Salt and test it. Pour about half a cup in a hot bath and let them play in it for a while. From bath to bed with bottle or breast and try it for a while!

Don't take my word for it, as they say, the test is in the pudding!

Happy sleeping all! :)

lol, memo!

sleep, magical sleep :) It's only happening for us now. It only took 2 years and 5 months or so. Erin's 2 years and 8 months now, sleeps in her own bed, from 8pm to 7am (sometimes a bit later), no night feeds and very few wakings (now and then calls for me if she'd had a bad dream), has a 1.5hr-2hr nap during the day, I pretty much don't know what to do with myself at 4am these days

But it was a long, hard road. I refused to sleep-train her. When I realised she was going through separation anxiety at night, I let her sleep with me and hubby. Hubby wasn't happy about it at first, until he realised how much it calmed everyone down. Then I moved her to a little bed on the floor next to me (placed her cot mattresses there), and moved her back into her room when she was ready. There is no quick-fix when it comes to sleep deprivation, for those of us who have suffered so long it comes as such a welcome relief when they finally are ready to take that next step. I think that's the only time it will work - when they are ready. Until then, hang in ladies. It will happen! x
