True Rm. I think we should be more honest at times. False hope is not ideal and I do strive to be honest when it comes to the ttc threads. I know it may upset some sometimes, but in the end it's important.

I prefer to pm though if I am concerned about something.

In the defense of people like me, who are probably not nice and understanding all of the time ...

I think there are often comments that moms/soon to be moms make on this forum that make me want to give them a cyber-slap, but I tend to just keep quite and click away.

We can't all agree (and I struggle to suffer fools gladly), but there is something about the moomie atmosphere (maybe it is the use of the pink and the smiley faces on the left) that tell me just to take a deep breath, count to three and click away, rather than respond.

I do think in general, the moomie folk try to play nice and sometimes don't always say what they REALLY think in the pursuit of a happy forum space.

But that is my take on it ....

What keeps me (partially) sane ...

I have a letter from my pdoc to say I am insane, so tread lightly with me, some days I can be a total bitch. I'm lying. Most days I am a total bitch.

I abhor smiley face icons. Just saying.

chris I too have taken the odd beating for my views on child birth and medications. I just make sure my info is correct. Not all moms or pregnant moms like to hear some things, but infromation is important and if it helps one lady then I have achieved what I set out to do on a daily basis.

Julz, on the Pampers I had posted a comment that the girls had not liked, but they asked "what would YOU do" and they nailed me, I felt so, so bad that my heart was so sore, but I had apologised and thought it wasn't right for me to voice my opinion knowing that the ladies probably wouldn't of liked it, but I remember that night I just wanted to cry feeling so bad. But its gone. I may have learnt and know alot from my sisters, her children and from this site and the other ladies, but it will never compare to having my own child, I know it will be very different and I have yet so much to learn (not even saying so much more). I'm looking forward to learning what will suit me best and the ladies support.

It's not just that meags. It is the emotion that comes with it. A crying baby for a baby sitter is just that. For a mom it is the most heartbreaking thing in the world. Honestly. You only understand the term hearbreak once you have a child.
