It sounds very positive that you only wash twice a week - that seems doable to me. I am also relieved to hear that I might be getting away with washing at a lower temperature, perhaps once in a while do a warmer wash to make sure they stay clean.

I am looking at the Alva nappies and I am considering shipping directly from China. Hasie, you have done this right? Did you have any problems and how much was the shipping extra (if any since on the pre-quote it seems as if there are no extra costs) or custom fees? Are you happy with your Alva nappies?

i do not have Mother Nature nappies, but i have heard only good things about it.
i also heard they are one of the smaller brands and might not fit a big chunky baby - my reason for not trying them.
but then again i have a friend who uses them and her boy is even bigger than mine.

Gloeiwurmpie, please dont be discouraged, remember, most people only post when they actually have issues.
i'm using cloth now for 10 months and never had any issues what so ever.

it actually do not consume alot of additional time for me. i take 5 min every night to handwash the days poopy nappies (wich is about 2 or 3) and then only wash 2 times a week - i use a normal laundy bin and never had a urine smell in baby's room
(some people who use closed buckets sometimes complain about hectic smells)

i use mostly pockets for daytimes as it is very easy, its size adjustable, and it dries quickly. use 1 microfibre and 1 bamboo insert.
i also use flushable liners as it really makes poo nappies easy to handle for me. and say 8 out of 10 times the liners catches all the poo and then the rinsing is just to avoid stains.

stuffing of pockets is never a dull task for me as i make it into a game for my lb and he looooves playing in all the inserts.
All in one nappies are very easy to use, just keep in mind to wash when you still have enough nappies for the following day, as they take a long time to dry.

i only have cold water to my washing machine, and i never had smelly issues with my nappies. but now that i'm really starting to deal with teething poo, i just rinse out more properly with my hand wash and sometimes wash them 2 times.

i had no issues with night time nappies till my lb turned 6 months. then he started out'peeing everything i tried. now at 10 months he is starting to pee much less at night and we can actually go a whole night (10 hours) and no leaking and no nappy change in the middle of the night.

Okay, so I have looked at the Mother nature All in one nappy which looks really great and much cheaper (although still pricey) than the Grovia AIO.

But what I don't get now is that you have to wash the outer cover at 30 degrees and unfasten the bamboo liner and wash that at 50 - 60 degrees?
No I don't see myself doing 2 different wash cycles every second day? Perhaps if I was a full time stay at home mom...but I am not.

Anyone else use the Mother Nature all in one nappy that can perhaps comment?

I can't find the older "help, I am officially a cloth nappy user" thread.

I hope someone here may be able to help me please.

I am considering trying cloth nappies for my next baby. However I am seriously concerned about the amount of time it is going to add to my day.
What I would like to know: is there truly a "one in all nappy" that you can just throw in the wash (or keep in your diaper bin for 2 days) without having to unbutton or remove any inserts/liners? I don't mind using the bio-degradable flushable liners to catch poo. I am talking a nappy without a separate liner/pocket system but truly all in one where once the nappy is soiled you can just flush the liner and put dirty nappy in your nappy bin (until washing)?? I don't mind a longer drying time since I am considering using the cloth nappies part time. Obviously this type of nappy shouldn't leak because of not having any liners.

Is this Grovia nappy a true All one in one nappy? Or would you need a separate booster pad/washable insert?

Ps: I have looked at the suggested facebook pages and actually were discouraged from trying cloth nappies with so many people struggling to make the cloth work...or that is my perception anyway.
