Help- I'm officially a cloth nappy user!!

I also use the Mother nature nappies but didn't buy the actual liners (Just bought Cherrubs) My cousins Wife however does use the MN liners and she also cuts them into 3 pieces so you are totally on the right track and don't need to worry that you are doing anything daft actually you are just being smart.

I have read through some of your posts but haven't made it through all!

I bought the full pack of Mother Nature Nappies which I use on my son - he's now 7 weeks old. I have a question though, might be a bit daft. The mother nature pack comes with a pack of liners. These liners are large sheets. Am I supposed to fold these to fit in the nappy? At the moment I cut the sheet in 3 rectangles and place one inside each nappy, then flush or wash it. Not really sure if thats what you're supposed to do. Um, help please?

I was really nervous about buying the nappies as they're quite pricey, and then maybe not liking them. But they are just so easy to use! I'm so glad we bought them before Finn was born though else it might have seemed easier to just use disposables!

Sarah, I just read some of your blog. I sure wish you were in Somerset West Cape Town.

Sarah, the sheeting is perfect, you can definately use that but I would still put atleast 1 Terry layer inside the soaker pad.

I've been playing around with different materials. The terry can become quite bulky, trying some brushed cotton sheeting (cheaper than flannel a lot of the time coz I can buy end of runs) in several layers with only one layer of terry and a cover of fleece. Will see how that looks.

Helene, 2kidmamma gave me the advice, fleece (dik sweetpak materiaal) for the outside, flannel/flannie? (dinner pj's materiaal) for the inside piece and then the terry for the 'insert' in the middle.

i couldnt find terry cloth at the shop so i bought R12 cloth nappies at pep and cut them into the strip (4 layers terry cloth strip). I know Anina uses something else between the terry, cant remember the name now, for more absorbtion.

i also love those wproofs at pep with the studs, could only find 12 - 18 months and they fit great around my boy (already 18months). they take off easy and put back on easy with the studs.

ek het ook vir Anina gevra watse lap sy binne en buite gebruik want die fleece voel vir my kan bietjie warm wees maar nog nie 'n antwoord gekry nie. wonder of mens nie die flennie binne en buite kan gebruik nie.

AND my machine was fixed this morning for only R220, they came out to my house, WOW hey! ! ! So im starting tonight

The terry cloth everyone is talking about, is that the toweling?

and the flannel, is that fleece? That is the fabric you make pajamas or receiving blankets from?

i just want to make sure i got this right.
