Zel - you sound like you work for my company with regards to year end in December. I am just refusing to work, I have said that to my Manager, as the stress is not good and the chances of my baby coming 6 weeks early like my first is 65%. I will not put my health or that of my baby at risk. As for paid maternity leave, you are lucky. I get 6 weeks paid and the rest is unpaid! We are allowed to take 6 months, but the fact that we only get paid for 6 weeks it is just not viable for me, so I am only taking 4 months. And claiming for the rest from UIF.

It seems there is something in the air regarding maids/nannies. Mine is getting on my nervous more and more each day, I can't wait for her to leave on the 26th! I just can't wait to have my house and stuff back for myself.

Jamie was out at 6 last night, the playgroup is exhausting him. DH said that this morning was the first time he cried, my heart broke to hear that. They had a Birthday party yesterday, apparantely my son loved the cake and wouldn't stop eating it. So funny.

Morning everyone - yay-yay it's Friday!!

Maureen, my son was also born early, I had a really stressfull time at work, still had a lot of work to complete before I went on ML, in the end he decided to come a week and a half before my maternity leave started!My FIL passed away 10 days before Janu was born, so I'm sure the preterm birth was due to stress! Hopefully it will be better this time around. Glad your cousins baby has arived!

I also plan to take leave from 15 Dec, then ML start 02 Jan and back beginning of May. But, we only get 3 months paid leave, and normally they're not to keen to give you that 4th months leave(previously I took my annual leave, but this time I don't have enough, so will take unpaid) I have not discussed this with the directors yet, so I don't know what will happen, especially because it's the company's year end Dec, so it's our busiest time of the year!

IlseRoss - Opera mini is a mobile browser which Moomie Admin suggest we use if you use BB, I use it for Moomie, and for me it works better.

Hope hubby is better today,and that your maid listens today! Mine sms'ed 05:30 this morning - she's not feeling well and not coming in!! Ugh!!!! Now I have to go and do laundry this afternoon, because we are going away this weekend, and the kids don't have enough clean clothes!

Shame Angi - hope your porridge brain gets better - although I must confess that mine only gets worse!!!

Sjho I had so much to read now that I am starting to forget alot of it, hehe.

Mom2b also struggling with a headache that just came out of nowhere! That was like 11:00am and its 17h15 and still there. Hope hubby feels better!

Zel I have also been getting cutoffs, hope mine is still fine as I also use my BB to post messages. I just use the blackberry browser, I have the opera mini on there. Downloaded it but I am not using it. Sticking to what I know

I worked till 10 days before my baby was due! Just started a new job and they did not want to give me maternity. obbiously not paid maternity but I could claim UIF so it was fine.

Jeandre, I am having curry tonight hubby is making it so I can just relax. Will def try that curried baked beans. Sounds Yummy!

Angie, my DH and I both have porrigde brain. I am just a little worse hehe. So I don't feel too bad.

I have been good today with the eating. Wasn't really that hungry. probably cause of the headache...

My best friend lives in New Zealand and when she was here she used to make curried baked beans. So I sent her a message as I am craving them... Heat a tin of baked beans, add paprika, black pepper and mixed herbs and worster sauce. As it starts to boil, mix in a cup of cheese. Let it go stringy and then switch off.... YUmmy!!!
BTW- I dont normally eat baked beans...

I had a KFC rounder for lunch!!!!

My cousins baby was born at last, little girl weighing 3.25 kilograms they had to use foreceps ( think that is what you call it ). So she is a bit blue but otherwise fine, and mom is recovering.

Will phone my cousin tomorrow to find out all the details.

ZelF , my appointment is next week Friday @ 10:30.. so its basically only another week to go

just finished lunch had sum potatoe & noodle salad altho its freezing cold & just started raining ....

been feeling rather ill since yester. My right eye was paining , then my ear started last nyt...pain hasnt gotten any worse.. took 2panado's last nyt , caus i think thats basically the only drug we r able to use if need be...
