Awwww Debbie, :(

Be positive my angel, God is watching over you. How far are you now?

Do you still have any signs of pregnancy like MS or sore (.)(.)? If yes then thats a good sign as well. Have you had any bleeding?

Morning Ladies ,

Not good news on my side , went to the gynie this morning and he could only see the sac, he is so non commital , i could strangle him , he says maybe it is just too soon, ARGH...... went and did HCG blood test and have to go next week again to check the levels , and see him again in 2 weeks , it looks like a blighted ovum to me but he didnt say that...

On a bit of an emotional rollercoaster at the moment not sure what I am feeling except disappointment and DH says maybe we are jumping the gun and at the next scan everything will be better , but I just dont feel it.

Mom2B... haha... classic. i must remember that one :)

cookie-monster, If i were you, I'd call up birth options or another group of midwives and ask them to recommend a practioner in your area. Im sure is quite a small community and they are bound to know. its harder actually to find a back-up gynae. not many gynaes will work with midwives, which is understandable i think, because if you dont need them at the birth, they dont get paid... but they still have to be on 'stand by'.

Morning Ladies,

Boy am I glad it's Friday phew!!! felt a bit nauseous this morning but had a cup of rooibos and it seems fine again now :)

Ash I hope you are ok and taking it easy today :)

Wow your gynae's are super expensive!! My first visit was R900 and from then on they will be R350 per visit!

Haha Cookie shame I can't believe people sometimes!! My friend got her own back the once when she was asked if she was carrying twins she kept a straight face and said I don't know what you are talking about i am not pregnant the chick nearly died of embarrassment and my friend just walked of giggling!! (She was 5 months preggy).

I am thinking of going the midwife way...but do any of you know which midwives they accept at N1 City Netcare Hospital and where can i find them. I only found a few in Southern Suburbs of Cape Town.

Changed jobs after my LG was born didn't think i would need medical Aid as she is on her daddys medical aid. BF and I arent together for 3 years yet so his medical aid wouldn't accept me. Funny thing is, is that i was meant to go for the loop in August. But i think someone up there was saying you are ready for another one before you get this loop girlfriend.

Lollipop, i agree, regular monitoring by both a midwife and a gynae would be a waste of money. Im opting for a midwife only, but will have 2 or so visits to the gynae (but then Im not trying for a VBAC).

when i was last at a midwife their consultations were R150 a visit ( for usually half hour, or longer at the beginning when i had lots of questions). my last visit to the gynae including an internal ultrasound was R1350. *gulp* I have medical aid, but only a basic hospital plan so all the antenatal visits i pay for myself. it adds up fast!
