Jan/Feb/Mrch 2012 Momies to Be

Hi ladies - *yawn*

I'm sooooo tired today. The comedy show was great. Was completely sold out that they had to open another show for Sat as well. Comedians were excellent - Trevor Noah, Barry Hilton, Stuart Taylor, Nik Raboniwitz, Loyisa Gala and some other whose names I can't remember. These late week nights are getting to me now.....

I also started panicking last night as the babies can come any time from the week before Christmas to 2nd week of Jan and thats the time when my nanny and domestic usually goes home! Told my hubby that I think we may need to employ a night nurse for just in case as we definitely will need that extra hands if they arrive. DH woke up this morning and then looked at me and told me not to worry - he will sort everything out and I mustn't even think about that. He is so supportive - wish he could be like this all the time even when I'm not pregnant!

How come you ladies know when your baby showers are happening? Are you involved in the planning?

Zelf - I am thinking of names, but its actually not as easy to think of 2 as one thinks! I'm not looking for them to be very similar but they kinda have to complement each other.

Plans for the weekend - tomorrow we are attending an open day at one of nurseries Haaniyah may be attending next year. In the evening we attending a "talent evening" hosted by my work which should be fun. Sunday its the Rugby WC final, so my dad coming over and probably having a braai at our place which I'm looking forward to as I haven't had braai in a long while!

Simone I hope those pains were a once off and stay away! Wow sounds like November is going to fly past for you with all the busyness My LG is also turning into a drama queen and pulls the most dramatic faces when she wants something. We spoil her rotten - I also dont want a spoilt brat but find it so hard to say no. She is very good so far if I do say no. You have lots of energy to do a 5km walk!

Zelf enjoy your relaxing weekend! Amazing how many birthday parties you have to attend when you become a mom, its fun though. Glad the new bum cream is working. Cant believe these teething nappies cause such havoc. THANK YOU for maintaining the list for us - you are so organised.

Cakes enjoy the bridal shower and you better come tell us about it on Monday I am sure you are going to be spoilt rotten!!!

Ashleigh that name is stunning - I really like it. You also have a busy Nov ahead of you.
I am also going to not have an epidural this time round. With Bekah I had one and it made my blood pressure drop dangerously low and I blacked out for like an hour - had to be put onto oxygen and monitored continuously so it seems I have a bad reaction to it so will have to do without it

Carlene so happy for you and Emma that DH is home - I am sure your family feels complete again! I hope your friends gets some professional help - sounds like she really needs it right now to cope.

Maureen I really hope the worst of the nappy rash is over for you! I am so sorry that you are feeling down at the moment - if you need to vent we are here to listen

Carol I also feel like that some days - like when I hold my little niece it feels so awkward and I wonder if I can do it again. Glad you are feeling better though - like the others said it will all come back to you - look how well you have raised your LB!!

Just had a yummy chicken pie from Woolies - was starving even though I ate breakfast So I was looking at the sandwiches and who comes to stand next to me to also look - Leeane Manas from Morning Live - she is really beautiful!
I am going to see my best friend today and meet her new little boy so very exciting for that

Oops Carlene - got the dates wrong . My SIL's children (twins) have ADHD - they are 6 now - when they don't drink their medication, it's a nightmare to have them over, they bully the other children, brake the toys, backchat etc.They are differant children when they are on medication.

Simone - you have a really busy time ahead, but I'm sure you will make time to get everthing for your LB . I don't even have the energy for a 500 meter walk! Enjoy!

I envy you all that knows the babyshower dates!! I really wasn't expecting another shower, but it seems that my mother and SIL decided otherwise! I got a request for a list of stuff that baby needs, as well as people I would like at a party! Told them they must please keep it small, I got so much clothes and blankets already from my family. I sometimes feel bad for all the things that everyone is buying for the kids - they spoil them so much! Guess we are just lucky that way - our family really cares!

Simone - my Doctor is really strict, and told me if I get any pains, I must know that I'm doing too much and that I must rest! So, have you been too busy these last few days? Maybe it's just your body's way of telling you to slow down?

Carlene so glad you have DH back:) I wouldnt be able to cope alone! So shower next week??? How exciting and nice and early so you still have time to do the last bits of shopping!!!

Luckily those pains seem to have stopped. If they start again or get bad I will definately go get checked out.

Thanks carlene - Hubby also said I will be fine and he thinks I will be able to handle it. I feel i need to start preparing myself mentally just dont know where to begin.

Shoe Simone definitely going to be a busy month for you. For me to. Next weekend Is Z party then the 1st is my anniversary, 2nd Z official B-day. 12th nieces b-day. 2 couples in our circle of friends have their annivesaries and then my baby shower is the 26th.

Shame Maureen, so sorry about Jamie’s bum. You must really try the Candizole. It is actually a vaginal cream but it works wonders for nappy rash. And like I said, it is something like R27 for the big one. You will get the applicators with the big one, so don’t think they gave you the wrong thing. I’m glad the other stuff is working. Emma used to get her teeth in pairs of 6. With the first lot she had really bad nappy rash, and we got the candizole and then after that when we see that tiny red dot we will start to put it on and it was not as bad as the first time, because we stopped it in time

Carol I know how you feel...I also feel like I'm going to be clueless. The biggest thing I am stressing about now is that crazy sleep deprivation!! I'm praying its not as bad as I remember it to be...lol. Enjoy your appointment!

ZelF so got a peaceful weekend planned then? I agree cloth nappies seem like so much effort...am I terrible because I assume Nanny will be dealing with them and not me? lol. I am however going to be going half half....so will do cloth nappies and disposables....I reckon every bit makes a difference;)

Mummoo how was the show last night?

We ordered our lb's compactum yesterday so excited about that. Preggie hormones getting the better of me and I feel very down the last week....hoping I can shake it off soon.

Tomorrow Myself, hubby and Addison doing a 5km walk. Then have 2 playdates/coffee dates set up...so looking forward to that.

REalised next weekend is Addison's birthday, the following weekend my baby shower, the following weekend, anniversary, then my best friend's baby can come anytime in November AND its DH's birthday towards end November. SO November definately going to be a busy month.

Wondering when in all those weekends I will be able to go and buy lb's stuff that I didnt get at shower???? Oh well...I'm sure it'll work out.
