Yes Amanda, he is at that window’s and Microsoft thing. But he left Saturday morning already, because one of his work friends got married on Saturday afternoon. So it is really long now, but luckily only one sleepy left. Yes Simone, I am counting down the hours. Your LG is gorgeous.

CC, that is really a very nice cake. I want to go for a cake decorating coarse somethime, but I don’t have the time. Maybe I will do it next year while I’m on ML.

gosh ladies these medical aids are just a waste of money , im on discovery keycare plus at the mo , end of year i am upgrading to coastal saver. so if my savings is R3000 for next year all my appoinments , meds , gp visits will come from my savings

Vision my medical aid pays for 6 GP visits, so when I go to gynae they dont cover scan and cover half his consult. How the diggins do you get through a pregnancy with SIX visits?? That is crazy! I called to ask whats in my baby bag...they said nothing wonderful and I'll get it very close to my due date...eish! Savings? We've fallen a bit behind but hopefully we'll make it up somehow....otherwise overdraft will have to just be strong those 4 months.lol.

Mummoo...sneaky arent you? Its hubby's birthday and you also get treated?? lol. I like the way you think:) I toyed with getting ears but they're R30 a pair! And I have over 20 kids....so decided against it as the boxes I ordered for party boxes already cost me an arm and a leg. So just got the polka dot hair clips for girls and they'll get bracelets as well and then the boys get mickey mouse bubbles...lol. Poor boys!

Carlene you sound very creative with those ideas! And baked the cake?? I'll never even attempt it.lol. I am TERRIBLY uncreative! Aw Emma sounds precious wanting to give her dad cake! I'm sure you're counting down the hours until he is back:)

This morning I called Addison (my lg) to come and kiss me before i left for work and she gasped and held her hands infront of her mouth and says: Mummy i almost forgot to kiss you and hug you!

She then kissed her 'blover' in my tummy and hugged me. Missing her today.

I also don't know why the gynae is so expensive! I see my visit in September was R412. And that was when he did the Down screening. Maybe it is so expensive because he did 80% of the fetal assessment already. All that still needs to be checked is the cleft palate and the kidneys. Maybe the next visit will be cheaper again - I HOPE!

My LB is a busy little bee. But I enjoy it and gets frustrated when I don't feel him regularly. I have a craving for KFC zinger wings and will buy me some tonight. NOT good for the healthy eating, but it is the first time since I fell pregnant that I will eat KFC. Can't think that one nights take-away will cause major damage to the weight...

With my LG's party I made all the party packs myself. Bought winnie the pooh sachets and just filled it up. Then she had balloons and streamers and a table cloth and napkins (all winnie the pooh). I paid a lady to bake the cake and the cupcakes. Attached is a picture of the cake and the cupcakes. Sorry if I posted already earlier this year. I paid R9.80 a cupcake and R280 for the cake. The cake was DEFINE!!! Chocolate and caramel. What do you think of the cake?

Carlene, is your husband at the Windows / Microsoft workshop thing in Durban? My husband is there and he is also coming home tomorrow night. I can't wait!

Afternoon girls

I don’t know what to do. My friend at work is in tears. Her boy is giving so much trouble and she doesn’t know what to do anymore. She actually told me that she just wants to drink pills and die. Shame I feel so sorry for her.

Simone, the party stuff look really beautiful. You and Ashleigh must definitely post some pic’s for us. And Zel, you must still post some pic’s of you LB’s party packs that you made. I also luv the whole party planning thing. With my LG’s 2nd b-day party we had a Farm theme. I took 2l milk containers from Woolies and painted it with “Cow prints” on and used it as a party pack. And I baked the cake myself aswell. Really enjoyed it, but yes I also tend to go over board with everything. I was just very tired after the party.

Zel, you can try “Candozole” (not sure about the spelling) for nappy rash. I used it for my LG and it works. But hers was more a fungal infection. And it is also not very expensive.

I’m so glad that I get 4months fully paid ML. But it is also in the time of the Audit. So I told my boss that I’m willing to come in for one or two days for an hour or so. And the he “grabbed the whole hand” and wanted to install an ADSL line at my house so that I can work from home during my ML. Luckily my friend stopped him and told him that it is only for the audit.

Sjoe CC, your gyne is expensive. We pay R271 for a normal visit and my 20week fetal assessment with him was R650 I think. I’m going for my next visit next week on the 27th again. I’m looking forward to see this LO again. And we taking LG with, she really loves to see her Baby sister and to hear the heartbeat. The gyne is just not very child friendly.

I’m so glad it is Thursday tomorrow, because my DH is coming home. I miss him so much. This week was just to long for me and Emma. Emma was very upset last night. We had some cake and she wanted to give Daddy some. So I told her that he cannot have cake with us, because he is in Durban. Shame she doesn’t understand why she can see her Daddy on the “Nekenaar” and can talk to him, but can’t give him a peace of cake.

I have sinus too and I don't have any carpets is my house - it just aggravates the allergies. A breeding ground for dust.
