Jan/Feb/Mrch 2012 Momies to Be

Hi ladies,

I see you have been busy.

I am exhausted and not feeling so great at the moment. My sinus is really giving me a hard time.

Jamie cut a "kiestand" on Monday and it seems there is more coming out. So nappies are horrible! And his bum is red with blisters. I am putting the multipeol on after every nappy, but it just isn't working that great.

Well we had the carpets cleaned in the baby room yesterday. So the cot, compactum and the pram is all in my room. It looks like a tornado hit the house. I am busy sorting out the linen cupboard in the hallway as well. So I am pretty much bushed at the moment.

Hopefully the carpets are dry come Friday, so that we can move all the stuff out our bedroom. And then it is sorting out the cupboard and going through all Jamie's old cloths!

I am hoping to have baby Reagan's room done by the 10th of November before my babyshower on the 12th!

Sorry - have been MIA. Was hubby's birthday yesterday so we had couples massages Divine! Then out for supper with the folks last night. So I'm tired today....... *yawn*

ZELF - that article is not so funny at all! Imagine I go to my next apptmt and they tell me oops, its not twins, but triplets! I think I would have a heart attack. LOL - At my first gynae apptmt when we find out that its twins, the gynae was also in shock and then she proceeds to tell me, "oh - that's not a third sac, its just your bladder". Hahaha

Welcome Simone - your party ideas look fabulous. I'm sure your little girl is gonna love it! I went to a Minnie Mouse themed party and they also gave out the little black ears -was too cute.

Regarding medical aid - well, I have this gripe that I don't understand what the point of it all is. We are on Discovery and think its the worst. I don't see much benefit being on one! They don't pay for anything so we end up paying cash for most of our bills.

Shoo Simone sounds like you medical bills just keep piling up. It is amazing how much we pay for medical aid and then still have to pay so much stuff ourselves.
I am on momemtum and they have a maternity programme which pays for 12 Dr. Appointments and the 2 big scans (medical aid rates ofcourse so we still have to pay the shortfall) and the birth etc.
It is amazing how when you have children the medical savings just get used up so quickly

I also wont be paid for maternity leave so we are saving like mad at the moment.

Ashleigh I find girls are stubborn and like to be fetched out of womb...lol. SO lets hope your girl is stubborn until the clock strikes 12 on 31 January:)

ZelF no I didnt make it. ordered it from Anel at www.boksomdaais.co.za. She is based in JHB. She also did sherbert for me in glass bottles with polka dot ribbons and little polka dot bows for the girls:) So I am really excited for next week.

Zel I hope that you wont have to stress about work on ML and the file will be sufficient:)

ChubbyChick....medical bills...story of my life. Got about R2000 in pathology. R1500 I still owe previous gynae. New gynae I need to pay cash as funds exhausted. THe only thing I had no problem getting medical aid to pay was foetal assessment and downs scan??? That was about R700 for Downs and then R1000 odd for the foetal assessment. And then i went to GP twice this month and so did hubby and my daughter...waiting for those bills as well:( IT NEVER ENDS!!

R1050 for just a visit is steep though:( Why so much?????

Vision i was feeling the fluttering from before 10 weeks and movement alot earlier as well...maybe from 14 weeks? And I have a padded tummy..lol. So you definately feel sooner 2nd time round I found!

My word re: census! Thanks for sharing that story...so I know to be on the lookout. They werent by us yet.

Sorry Chubbychick Wow that is alot for a normal appointment. Mine only cost R350 and R1000 for the two big scans!!! SOrry about your DH's tooth also - It never just rains it pours hey!

Simone my best friend is moving to PE in January. She just had her baby 2 weeks ago so it is going to be hectic for her. WOW it sounds like the party is going to be stunning, the invite is awesome - you must post lots of pics for us afterwards. Minnie Mouse is such an awesome theme. Will be so nice if you can get away.

Zelf so nice that she is giving you lots of movement - yip she definitely has to practive to keep up with her brothers. Millay is a lovely name I can see she is going to be very protected and spoilt having 2 older brothers
Sorry about the nappy rash - Bekah also used to get it alot when she would teeth. Hope the sun and mazeina works.

Ashleigh that is very inconsiderate. Even if it is not dangerous you cant cope with being sick or having a sick baby at the moment. People dont think sometimes.

Chubbychick sorry about the migraines and it is so frustrating that all we can take is panado which is so mild. Hope you get over them soon!

AFM well I did the census thing yesterday - a lady came to our house and she was very professional. So glad it is over and done with. I read on Mommalicious Mammas FB page the one mom said this guy came to her house in the census jacket but didnt have ID or the bag and he banged on the gate. She shouted to him thru the window that she had already done it and then he walked away and two other guys hiding behind the wall followed him - very scary how these criminals take chances wherever they can - atleast this lady was vigilant!

I am feeling movement much earlier this time which is cool - tiny little flutters but it definitely makes the pregnancy feel more real as does my growing tummy

My day just keeps getting crapper and crapper. Just got a bill from my gynae. R1050. And that's for a normal check-up! WTF? My medical aid is finish, so this means paying out of my own pocket. Next visit is the fetal assessment, wonder how much that will cost me. Oi, I can't win. Then my DH broke his tooth, went to the dentist today. Another lot of money to pay! AND I CAN'T EVEN DROWN MY SORROWS! I really feel sorry for myself now.
