Hi ladies

robyn - so sorry about your loss - it must be very tough for you! Hugs to you.

Just a quick update.
My LG decided that she wanted to enter the world a day early. My ceasar was scheduled for wed 5th September but my waters broke on Tues 4th September - so we had the ceasar on tuesday 4th September and my LG was born at 09h20 and weighed a whopping 3.4kg and 50cm.

She is 1 week old today and I can't believe how time has flown by. She is very cute - got lots of dark hair and is pretty much sleeping and eating well. I really can't complain about much at this stage.
The ceasar went well - i was up and walking about by 6pm on Tuesday evening. I took my pain tablets when the doc said i needed to.
I was in a bit of pain but im recovering nicely. We went to the doc yesterday to have the wound checked out and undressed. I have a neat scar, I can bath if i want to although i am not sure I will be able to get in and out of the bath. So shower is good for now.

I have to stand up slowly and get out of bed slowly but besides that - the pain is almost gone now.

I will post a pic as soon as I can. Just need to download them off the camera.

Mckim - I can't believe you are still waiting..... the waiting must be killing you.

Morning Ladies

Robyn: Sorry for your loss. Hope you coping well.

My last day at work is also the 21 September.... I'm so exhausted... Im counting the days.

Ginah: wow! 3.9kg.. Glad baby is doing well.

I went for my gynae appointment on Friday at 34 weeks.... Baby weighed 2.2kg. Doctor says all is well, and wants to see me in 3 weeks. I have made a decision that I'm doing a C-sec. I'ts a personal choice and I feel its the right thing to do for me and baby. So C-sec date is set for 10 October 2012.

This weekend was hectic, had the girls weekend away at Hartbeespoort Dam. The driving took its toll on me, so I'm looking forward for my maternity leave to start so I could put my feet up.

Yeah the site has been quiet.

Hope all goes well with the preparations.Loosing a parent
is never nice,death happens everyday but we just can never
get used to the whole idea.

I went to the doctor for my last visit today.Have seven days
to go and I am finished. Baby was weighing 3.9kg today and he is
looking very comfortable in there.

That's just terrible Robyn, so sorry to hear about your loss. A loss of someone close is always so hard to deal with, especially a parent.

Im also spsed to be off from the 21st, it seems too far off as well, i may take off earlier as well, maybe this friday.

Mckkim, no signs at all of impending labour, gosh you must so uncomfortable by now, i should know, my son was 10 days overdue, i thought he'd never come.

OMG - just realised, looking back at the posts, that the last photo from D's birthday is literally the last photo of my dad ever (have tears in my eyes right now!)

Hi ladies
Sorry have been MIA but my dad passed away suddenly and very unexpectedly on
Thurs afternoon and his funeral/mermorial is tomorrow, plus I'm trying to do the handover to my temp and I don't think I can make it til the 21st at work - def don't think McK will wait til the 8th, so am going to chat to my doc at my 36wk scan on Wed about going off earlier

Saddest part about my Dad is that he will never meet his new granddaughter

Yup, I was just thinking that. I'm one week over due date now and Matthew isn't going anywhere. I guess he's just way too comfortable.
