I am now 36weeks and will b 37weeks on friday.Only seeing the
Dr on the 10th(week b4 my c-sec). Baby is really feeling heavy now
And I can't wait 4 him 2 b here.

Had a babyshower this weekend and got so many clothes and blankets.
I am now really ready 4 the baby...14days 2 go

Monica if I am not mistaken this week is ur week, good luck

Hi girls

Just a quick update from Belaine - sorry I did tell her Id update but havent been online myeslf.

She had her baby girl on Wednesday morning. A beautiful 2.78kg and 48cm tall.
The first few days were quite hectic with the breastfeeding and csec pain, but they went home today and were doing much better!
I cant upload any pics but if anyone wants to add me on whatsapp I can send you a pic and then you can upload it for us?

Hi ladies, Robyn love the pix, looks like the party was a great success. 3 weeks till i go on maternity leave, i cant wait! I still hve a lot to get done between now and then in preparation, just hoping i cant get it done in time. Some days i feel so terribly tired i can barely function and having an active 3 year old doesnt make it any easier. Any news from belaine yet?? Well hope you are enjoying your weekend! Chat soon

Trust me - this was SUCH a lucky angle shot - I also look like I've swallowed a medicine ball!

Lauz - both my feet and my legs are swollen (tight up to my knees) so that I only have 1 or 2 pairs
of boots that I can still do the zip up
ElamsMom - it's funny how women just can't help themselves but make comments on your tummy!!


For the party - it was loads of fun. I ordered the cake from the lady who did my wedding cake & D's
christening cake (I baked D's 1st b'day cake) and I def recommend her - the cake was huge (for 40ppl)
and it only cost R430! (I just sent her a pic of what I wanted, and she made it happen) She makes the
most divine chocolate cakes - this was carrot & banana with vanilla cream (she left out the pecan nuts
due to allergy concerns)

I still have not bought 1 thing for McK
but I only really need the disposables (nappies etc)
I'm waiting for my mini shower at work (I'm pretty much just going to be getting vouchers/money)
and my mom wants to organise a tea & cake party somewhere for friends & family to fill in any blanks left
so it seems like I may not have to get anything myself anyway
see, I'm not procrastinating, I'm just waiting to see what I get....

DH is in Jhb so last night was the 1st night alone in the new house
D slept with me cos she isn't feeling too well (that's my story and I'm sticking to it! )

Thankfully I only have 3weeks left at work and the lady who's temping for me already works
for the company in the same position, so no hectic training needed
Ginah - I'm so jealous that you are finishing work tomorrow!!

I haven't bought much nappies just 4packs (newborn,size2 and two size3)
Wipes think I have bought only four packs.Planning on buying the rest with
my discovery vouchers.Their baby bag has such nice stuff this tym around.

Had a mini shower @ work yesterday,very unexpected but appreciated.
So now I just have 2 wash all the baby stuff and finish packing my bags.

Belanie do let us know how it went, we re so eager 2 hear how it went.

E'smom I also have a huge tummy,looks like Robyn carries well.
Caught some ladies in 4ways mall talking about my belly.

Tomorrow is my last day @ work,I can't wait soo excited. I can now relax
And wait for the baby 2 come.

BettsF I have bought nappies everytime hubby and I see a special we have bought and on tuesday I had a surprise baby shower at work and got loads of nappies - pampers mainly and 2 packs of huggies for newborns. Wet wipes got the pampers sensitive and one lady bought me some unknowns so ill be keeping those for when baby is much older.

A question I wanted to ask you ladies is if any of you are swelling on your feet?

I am swollen only on one foot - my right and it literally looks like I have a tree stump. I read that if you only swelling on one foot you should phone your gynae immediately - I have but am waiting for her to phone me back but was wondering if anyone else is going through the same thing? My blood pressure is fine and its only my foot that is swollen nothing else

So does anyone know how Belaine's big day went yesterday?

RobynC, I'm with Elamsmom here, I've also got the basketball down the front thing going on. Having said that the parry looks awesome and D is clearly having a blast. Did you make or buy the cake?
