Hi Ladies
32weeks today and boy am I exhausted
Wow - what a few days I've had!!!
But yay - we are finally in our new house :woohoo:
I took Wed & Fri off for a nice realxing long weekend - yeah right! )
I packed up the entire house contents on my own!!!!!! (DH was busy at the house with the builders
and moving everything across  )
But I'm so tired now - really need a good massage!! You don't realise how much stuff you have and
how long it takes to pack (and unpack) until you move (and then you still have so much stuff to think
about in the new house!!!! :pinch:
Thankfully D was with my parents or with MIL from Wed til Sun - last night was the first time we all
slept in our new house together!!
I got D a new single bed for her room but kept the cot as well so she can sleep in her old bed in a
new house and new room, but when she saw it, she refused to sleep in her cot (she kept saying
no, sleep big bed - so cute!)

Now I need to sort everything out between D & McK - have been putting it off, telling myself I must
wait til we're in the new house before I do anything, now I have no more excuses!

My gynae also only wants 4 week appts - Wed is the next and then 36wk early Sept and then then
the next time I see her should be when I'm pushing :woohoo:

I found out I'm having some sort of shower at work (I'm guessing my last day here)
When the lady who's arranging it knew I knew, she asked if I would prefer gifts, vouchers or money
(makes more sense being honest rather than getting 4 pairs of the same onesie that you already have! )

Hi All,

Thanks, the bag is now thoroughly packed. :) I had all the stuff ready, just needed it to be in one place. But the best news is that today is my last day of work! I start maternity leave tomorrow Whoop Whoop! It's three weeks before the baby is due but works out well with our required annual leave in december so I only have to go back in january. I can't wait. I'm exhausted now by the end of each working day.

BettsF, I've been seeing the gynae once a month up to now but now we're down to once a week. The Doc say's it's just a good idea to do weekly checkups at this stage so you know what to expect and can pick up any problems. It seems to be standard but this is my first child so I really wouldn't know any better

Nursery is done, clothing is washed, all the appropriate stuff is bought/borrowed/given... now I just need him to arrive. It could still be as much as 4 weeks and that will drive me nuts. I want to meet my little boy now. :silly:

Morning All

Hope everyone had a lovely long weekend.

For Women's day, DH took me to breakfast and we spent most of the day in the mall, until I was tired, and we came home and I rested.

I took Friday off, and saw my gynae. Baby is fine, all is well, he is in head down position which is good. He weighs 1.2kg. My current weight is 49kg. Basically I have put on 8kg's only. Doc wants me to do another Thyroid test this week, so will have to go to the lab one of the evenings.
My next appointment is in a months time on 7th September. My doc enquired about the birth, and I told her that I am undecided. She said that what ever I decide, I must be comfortable with it, and that if i have further questions on both C-section and natural, that I can phone through, or even fax her my concerns and she will advise. It felt quite nice chatting to her about this, and felt reassured that I have choosen the right gynae.

I spent the rest of the weekend relaxing, did almost nothing, but worked on the nursery. I put up the alphabets, as I wanted an alphabet theme. I also put up trucks, cars, trains, planes near the cot wall as well.

Both Dh and I are happy with how it is coming out. I will post pics hopefully later this week.

I'm counting down to the next 4 weeks. My bestfriend from Durban is flying up the first week in September and has planned a girls pampering weekend at Harties before I pop. So really looking forward to this as well.

BettsF: All the best with your move. I'm already exhausted, so I an imagine how you going to feel. Take it easy and don't do anything strenuous.

Ginah: Please keep us updated on your scan on Wednesday. Wow and you will be 34 weeks then, Congrats! You almost there :-)

Belaine: hope you feeling much better, and you rested this weekend. Don't worry about what people tell you in regard to your decision about the c-sec. Firstly it's your business, it does not concern anyone else. Along as you are happy with it, and its the best decision for you and your baby , that's all that matters.

Mckim: Great to hear that baby is in the correct position and all is well. Wow 3kg already. :)

Oh, by the way, on Tuesday last week DH and I went for our first antenatal classes. It was okay, rather interesting, and we met other pregnant couples that are due almost the same time as us.

Anyway, hope everyones Monday turns out to be a good one,
Hi to everyone else.... :-)

Hows everyone enjoying the weekend. We've had horrible winds the whole weekend, on the upside, its a sign winters going, on the down side i have a horrid cold and all this wind and dust isnt helping. I ve got about 6 to 7 weeks of work left, cant wait to. Go off and we are moving homes month end, ive been looking forward to this for ages, but i should be almost 35 weeks then, not the ideal time to move, but it has to be done. The thot of all the packing.. Well not too exciting
