Hey Lad

Good Morning Ladies,

Wow I have lots to catch up on. Thank you all for the wonderful welcome and congratulations to you all! Im 24 weeks and 2 days and we have decided to keep the sex a surprise. Its pretty funny how everyone has arguments over what baby is.

Went for our fetal anomaly scan beginning of June and my mom tried to sneak a peek at what baby is but she isnt too sure.

Was meant to see my gynae on wednesday but came across Zoecats post and hellopeters post and had 2 sleepless nights over her.
I initially only saw her the first time and all my other scans have been with her wonderful assistant and this scan on wednesday would be my 2nd time meeting my actual gynae!
So did a bit of investigating and actually phoned the hospital to see who they would recommend, they only mentioned 2 gynaes and my gynae wasnt one of them cancelled my appointment straight away - the shocking part is they didnt even ask me if I wanted to reschedule.

Luckily was able to get an appointment with the one gynae they recommended for this Monday. Im actually excited and really hoping that she is exactly what im looking for!

As for the pregnancy, had nausea in the beginning couldnt stomach coffee, so substituted it with hot chocolate as my morning cuppa.

@Ginah and JB, we pretty close on weeks and cant say I know what you guys are going through with the round ligament pains - but you are preparing me for the pain lol
Have had some weird pains though that my friends that have had children and my Mom cant relate to. First one was about 2 weeks ago, a really sharp continuous pain under my left rib that made me lose my appetite and only standing or sleeping on that side helped - had it for a whole day and night and woke up the next morning and it was gone - thought it possibly was an air bubble in my intestines, luckily have not had it again.
And then yesterday had a pain that again started in the early hours of the morning and lasted throughout the day until 2pm - excepting this one was just above my breasts in the middle of my chest, breathing hurt like hell and leaning forward and lifting myself up with my arms hurt like as if I was severly bruised - hubby again reckons it was a wind.
anybody had these strange pains?

@Robyn C - dont stress about your weight ive picked up 7kg. I can see it in my bum and thighs and even dancing isnt getting rid of it.

@Ginah - what oil you using for your skin - Ive been using a stretch mark butter from mamma mio range for my belly only - going to have to start using it on my hips as I have 2 little stretch marks already. Will possibly have to get their oil as well just for extra care as I am prone to stretch marks!

@JB go and get your hair dyed! Its at least going to make you feel super sexy. I highlighted my hair at 2 months and going next weekend again.

@Belaine you are one lucky lady to have all those amazing things for next to nothing!

sleeping went much better just woke up with sore legs!! its more like that dead feeling!!

Im so blessed, that lady sent me a letter with all those stuff and said use the money for your lg!! and on the paper she wrote it there is a bible verse " God will generously provide for all your need" How awesome is that!!

My friend just bbm'ed me now and said she is going to courier for me stuff that she also dont use any more, like that bf pillow and breastpump etc.

JB great bargain for you as well!! Enjoy the hair dye!! so glad everything is well with you and your lo!! its def a girl now hey? are you still deciding on names?

G glad all is well with you as well,my lg was 923g at 26w4d!!

This weekend going to try to figure out how im gonna fit everything in that room for my lg and starting to pack her clothes in the cupboard so long.

Going the weekend after to my mom to fetch my chest of drawers at my mom really looking forward to see her again I really miss her!!

So glad its weekend!!

o and i got my letter from bears apologizing so that is also sorted as well!!

Ginah glad ur doing well. Wow baby is big hey! Cant believe how quickly they grow now! I am only 3 weeks behind you and baby weighs 400grams, so to double its weight in 3 weeks is a lot of growing!!!
So its confirmed a boy then? Super happy for you
Ja these round ligament pains are awful, really painful at times that I find I have to find myself taking it really easy.

We bought a 2nd hand angel care monitor from a friend for R500, normally priced at R1500 so also very lucky there.

Robyn so glad your scan went well and MacKenzie is growing nicely too!

Sorry for all I've missed, must get Kaylee ready for bed now.

But I just want to update you with our good news that we went for our fetal anomaly scan today and all is well!!! Her heart is healthy and everything else looks good too. We are so happy now!!! Baby has Kaylee's nose and mouth, and is on par for due date of 27 October. Now I can breathe a sigh of relief!
And tomorrow I'm going to dye my hair

Hope you all had a great weekend. Mine was a bit busy, I

hosted a babyshower for my brother inlaws' wife and it went very well.



I went for my scan last week Wednesday and it went well.The baby

is growing well and he is almost 1kg (think it was 960), he has doubled

his weight. He is so active, he had his legs over his head. I wonder what

the birth weight will be. I am now 25weeks I am also having those round

ligament pains, damn they re not nice.



JB the oil doesn’t get to me hey, I have very dry skin which just absorbs

think maybe that’s why I don’t get stretch marks. cant remember if I answered this.

Oh wow B you have such a nice boss, glad you enjoyed the session though. You

are getting close 28weeks, guess your lg will come first in the group.

I would also not offer to work from home, I need the break

away from work.I understand if they will pay you and you need the money.



I wonder why its never just a smooth ride with mils and sils??

The lady that works with DH its her neighbor so she told dh and i phoned her and said i must come look so we went yesterday and voila!! that stuff is really spotless!!

@Belaine: where did u get all that stuff for under R500!?!
