@ Belaine: Sorry you having a terrible day, hope it gets much better.

I also desperatley need to dye my hair, the box is lying in my draw. The thing is my hubby is against me dyeing my hair now that I am pregnant.
His Theory: If it wasnt good for you the first three months, then it shouldnt be good for you now.
So will have to wait for after baby is born.

@ Joybaby: Thanks, yes I'm much more relaxed now.
Atleast you have most of the big things for baby. We buying the campcot end of this month. I have made a list of all the things I will need, and believe me it's a long list. So will go over it with Hubby tonight, to see what we can buy at the end of this month.

I got a pregnancy calendar, it was in one of the June Pregnancy mags. I t has stickers where you can place according to your weeks on first scan, first movement and so on. Basically all the important moments.

@ Monica: I hope your boss realizes what a gem you are, as you offered to work from home. Good luck with that.

My boss asked me how long I plan to take, and I said 4 months. I have a laptop and 3G, but didnt offer to read mails when I am free, cos since this is my first pregnancy, I don't know what to expect. Also both my hubby and I don't have any family in GP, so will be pretty much alone. My sister said that she will spend a week here when baby is born, but I'm not relying on that, cos they have their own business and things get pretty hectic for them.
My hubby mentioned to his mum to come and stay when baby is born, but I'm not keen on that, as we don't get along. And although this will be their first grandchild, not once from the time that he told them about the pregnancy did they say "Congratulations" or even ask how the baby is or how I am doing.

having a terrible day at the office!! my boss really making me angry!!!
Slept badly last night no pain though just woke up 5 times had to go to the loo and then struggle to sleep again.

JB have no idea i think the 7th july but not sure or maybe 14th i doubt if it will be on my bday the 21st but im sure it will be one of those 3 weekends.

JB im not a gym person so admire you all that do it!!

im also not doing my hair until my lg comes since im terrible with box dye and just dont have the time energy or money to go to the salon.
Jb im busy doing a scrapbook album on my pg but just dont have the enerygy also have a book where i take notes on how i feel etc but nothing special.

I need to get back to work take care and hi to everyone else!!

Monica please let me know that website once you find it. I am doing absolutely no exercise atm. Cancelled my gym contract and dont feel comfortable doing exercise in the lounge in front of FIL and its too cold out to be outside
Shew good luck with getting everything ready in time! I'm sure just a few hard working weekends and it'll all be sorted at least! And you know where everything is and you have a room for her which is fantastic!
I'm the same re the hair dye. Am waiting for the fetal anomaly scan this Thursday before I touch my hair. Have had the box since I was 13 weeks or so! And I also look like a granny lol!
I think u must schedule a meeting with your boss asap since you're just about in your 3rd trimester now to put a plan in place for when you go on maternity leave. If they need to hire a temp or train colleagues then there's really only 2 months to get it sorted? And at the same time you can decide how much time you are willing to commit to work while at home, and as you say you have a toddler and a newborn and those first 3 months are super hectic adjusting to lack of sleep and daytime routine with one, nevermind with 2! So dont overcommit yourself.

McKim wow 29 weeks already! It's just around the corner hey!
Enjoy your 4D scan - its a good time to have the grandparents around, I may do the same thing cos they havent been with this pregnancy yet and were with Kaylee at 16 weeks.

Re the scans - in Cape Town there is a place called Peek A Babe where you pay around R500 and can go for a scan. Its with a sonographer though not a gynae, but for those who dont get the luxury of monthly visits its quite nice.
I must be honest, the scans till now have been quite uneventful with this one. Baby is so chill and as they get bigger you dont see too much. I would be okay with less scans and in fact we have our fetal anomaly on Thursday, only 9 days after the last scan, and then I'm going to wait until after the following payday, so only early August before we go again.

We cant really get anything ready for baby at the moment cos we dont know where we will be, but will probably still be with inlaws till early next year in which case all we can do is set up her cot, and make space for clothes and start buying diapers and wet wipes so long. No decorating or anything fancy this time, we will do that when we're back in our own place. I still have blankets and cot sheets etc, so dont really need much there. Want to get a new changing mat cos the one we have is foamalite with just one cover which I dont like.
We still have the playmat, bumbo chair, bouncy chair and swing from Kaylee, as well as moses basket and co-sleeper, so that's most of the big things covered. We just need to finalise the travel system and see if my SIL's one will fit into the boot of our car. And then in Aug will go through all Kaylee's old clothes 0-6 months and decide what to keep and what to toss, and make sure we have enough vests and grows for those first few months.
Hospital bag I'll back at 8 or 9 months. Kaylee was born by elective c-sec at 38w3d and at the time had no signs of labour so I doubt this one will make an early appearance.

Fetal scan on Thursday (already mentioned). Really just want to get this one over and done with, and to either know that all is well or make the necessary plans for surgery if required.

I have days where baby is so active and then other days when I hardly feel her.
Yesterday she was busy non stop and today not at all except one or two kicks.
I have a bit of tummy fat so try remind myself I wont feel much until later on as she gets bigger and stronger. But its hard not to worry.

I am trying to finish my pg diary with Kaylee, as I never got there. I've basically taken my moomie extracts from them and am summarising and adding a personal touch. I want to finish it so that I can start on the 2nd diary. I am not good at this kind of thing but really want to keep it for them to look at when they're older.
Names are pretty set, but hubby doesnt want to name her yet till he's certain all is well as it's the name he wants for his next girl. I'm not pushing him on the matter but hope we can start calling her by name soon so I can get used to it.

Anyways best get offline its getting late!!!

Ja your work must remember that you on mat leave and not just at home!! i can only imagine with a new born and a toddler!

Thank goodness the pain comes and go!! ag what just 12 more weeks then im done maybe sooner with the c sec

I must start making my boss get use to the idea im going on leave he will completely forget and phone me to ask where am i !

Sounds like you have a bit of sorting to do. Im waiting for my baby shower then i will start sorting again and get the clothes washed most prob when i go on leave.

In the meantime my brother are getting married 29 sept and dh is taking the pics and for some reason she comes to me with everything glad we get along so good. Im must meat her at the craft shop after work to look at paper etc.

My friends lb was born at 37 weeks 2.4kg and 48cm small but they are doing great!!

I did absolutely nothing this weekend - nothing nothing and more nothing. It was good to just do nothing for a change especially for the whole weekend.

Belaine - I am struggling with back pain here at work - I have even changed chairs now and I have got a pilow behind me but I think I will bring another baby tomorrow. My gynea gave me a website address babyfit.com or something like that to have a look at and try and do some exercises for back pain. I have not had a chance to look at the site yet but think I may need to do soon so I can start doing some back exercises to lessen the pain.

Zoecat - glad your scan went well. its always nice to see the little baba doing its own thing inside.

Mckim - its great when they move around alot cos then i makes you feel more at ease. My LG sometimes moves quite a lot and it gets a bit uncomfortable especially when it feels like she is trying furiously to get out ...

Elamsmom - Im with you on the name story. Everyone wants to know have you thought of names yet .... i want something to at least be a surprise so Im not telling anyone what we looking at naming our LG yet.

joybaby - my cold has gone thank goodness. I still have a bit of phlegm but nothing too bad. It really is not nice being sick and trying to manage it and still be mother and wife all at the same time.
I will also only be dying my hair with a box dye as I can't afford the salon treatment but Im still a bit worried and although I look like a granny - I think I will just wait it out another 2 more months before I dye it while preggies. (I am super paranoid with that sort of stuff and don't want to jeopardise anything - I guess it stems from my past.)
I have a room for the baby and we have all my LG's old things in there - the cot and pram and bassinet and all the baby things - but I still need to go through it all and see what i have and what i need to get new of.... I still have not done that.
Im so super lazy with this baby - its quite scary - shame I feel sorry for her already!!

I have not been getting braxton hicks contractions but the round ligament pain is a bugger. Can't walk for too long or it gets sore - have to stand up slowly and stretch it out before I start walking.... Even when I roll over in the bed - it hurts!!

Im seeing the doc on Monday for 28 week scan. And the more I think of it - the less and less time there actually is until the baby arrives.....time is flying by.

so i have to sort out the telkom and internet line at home so that it is there ready and watiing for me for when I go on maternity leave. Then I will also be taking my computer thats on my desk - and use that at home for while im on leave.....
im starting to dread that I offered to work from home as Im not 100% clear on what exactly will be expected of me....Anyways - ill worry abut that later..... will only do what I can and when I can..... it is going to be a huge adjustment to have a baby and a toddler int he house and i think it will take some time to try and get into some routine.

Besides that - not much news.
I just know I had better get my but into gear and start sorting and getting things for this baby and especially the hospital bag - as you just never know what could happen....

Had a relaxing weekend, Last night i woke up and i really cried of the back pain and couldnt breath.. was really bad dh even woke up when i started walking up and down.
My breast also getting very tender now.
My next scan is next saturday cant wait then i will be 30 weeks and 3 weeks after that i will be having my 30th birthday!!

Just 2 months of work left and i cant wait really getting irritated with the small stuff!! like people wanting orders etc.

I had a look at the list of everything mostly still a quite a few things to get but we are getting there. we going to pta end of next month to get the last of the big things sure by then i will have had my baby shower. The major things is still the pram and monitor and nappy bin. Then i want to get the bf pillow and that bimbo seat tray as well.

Zoe good luck with the test. glad all is well!!

Mckkim so we are very close together wish we can do a 4d scan but we will have to go to pta or pietersburg and dh cant get time of work saving that for when lo is here.

We also werent able to go for that classes as they only do it in the week and not in Marble hall we will have to drive every day 200kms for it!! Wish we werent in this small place!!
