Hope you all had a warm and cozy weekend with lots of hot chocolate and or milo.

Welcome NicoleH. Our story is very similar. Had a text book pregnancy with my LG who turns 3 in July and a mc in November 2010. Did not fall pregnant so quickly after the mc but I am now 8w2d and constantly worrying. Sjoe cannot believe how different this pregnancy is from the first, not just the physical symptomes but the emotional side as well. Good luck and although I cannot practice what I preach: don't worry... it can not change anything or prevent what is suppose to happen. Have faith!

Anthea08, enroll your little one in the pre-school as soon as possible. I enrolled our daughter for grade 1 when she was 18 months old and the lady and Midstream Pre-Primary told me our daughter's application was the 60th application for afrikaans and they only take 100 per year. Appearantly they take 100 afrikaans and 75 english learners every year. Residents get preference with enrolment. There are also various rumors of a new Pre-Primary School to open in Midlands soon but submit your application to Midstream in the mean time. The two schools will most likely be run together like the Midlands and Midstream Pre-Primary Schools.

AFM Spend the whole weekend in bed with the flu. I was suppose to go for a scan on Wednesday. On Saturday night I experienced some light pink spotting and got a huge fright so I clocked in this morning for a scan. Dr is very pleased and says everything looks fine. The scan measured me as 8w3d and babybean looked very active. Dr said this cold weather can be a contributing factor to the spotting - because of the cold all your muscles pull togehter as a normal reaction to the cold which you have an impact on blood circulation. Seeing the Dr again at 10w before we leave for our Nambia desert holiday. When I return I will be 12w then I will go to the fetal assement centre for a detailed scan. My gynea sends all her patients to the fetal centre for a 12w (down) and 16w (spina bofida) scan.
