Hello everyone,

Nadia, wonderful news! Congratulations! Glad all is well with the twins. Has the news and reality sunk in yet?

Kelz and TandiM, don't worry to much about not being sick or nausious. A friend of mine had her second child February 2012 and she, two perfectly healthy children later, NEVER experienced nausia or morning sickness. Our bodies are so different and react very different to the hormones taking over...

Snoekie, I lived in the East of Pretoria my enitre life until we moved to Midstream 7 years ago. Loved it and still go there often... Lovely shops! My cousin's with Dr Vrey and he delivered her son a few years ago. She was very comfortable with him. Good luck with driving to Cape Town. Think I may have mentioned it already but we will be traveling to Namibia (Luderitz) 1300km for a desert safari holiday end of the month for 10 days. Also very concerned with driving the long distance. My gynea said all will be in order we must just stop frequently and stretch legs. We will try to this every 2 hours or so.

Anthea, we live in Midstream. We were one of the first residents here. We also build and were the 21st house completed in the estate. We were the first house build and completed in our enitre street. Lived in dust for the next two or three years until all the stands around us had houses on them. Just a tip: if you want place for your children in the Baby House or any other schools in Midstream enroll them now. I enrolled my daughter in the Baby House to get a place when I was 4 months pregnant with her.

To all the ladies... have a good weekend.

AFM I have been in bed with the flu for 2 days. Not feeling well at all. Blocked nose, sore fuzzy head and nausious from time to time.... quite the combination. Eventful weekend ahead with 2 family birthdays - so not sure how much I will get to rest. I will also go for another scan on Wednesday next week. Please hold thumbs all is well.

Nadia - CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!!! :woohoo: What absolutely stunning news...and that scan is amazing!

Kelz...I feel exactly the same way you do, I've had hardly any MS and the nausea has really been kept to a minimum for me, and I feel like I just need the reassurance of hearing a heart beat and seeing my little one and hearing that all is progressing the right way! But my first appointment and scan is a loooooooooooong 12 days away!!!!! Looking foward to your update after your scan.

Like I said...I've had no MS and hadly any nausea, which I must admit worries me a bit. I have a full weekend ahead...night shift at work tonight, a baby shower tomorrow for a friend and then a seminar on Sunday with my Mom. My DH is working this weekend.

Stay warm everyone!!!

I'm also at Wilgers but I'm with Dr Kruger - no complaints apart from the fact that she has too many patients so is always soooo busy!

I also hope I get to skip the MS but at the same time there is always that stigma surrounding MS, that it is a good sign....at this stage I think I just need the reassurance of the heartbeat.

Its so nice to share this with all of you! I am dying to shout it from the rooftops but we have not yet told everyone and probably wont until after Monday (despite most people advising us to leave it to 12 weeks)

Anthea I totally agree - DVD's and soup sounds like a wonderful idea (nothing better when its really cold outside) ;)

Hi Snoekie - have you tried the Vomifene? With my first pregnancy we had to drive to Mossel Bay from PTA when i was bout 11 weeks... and the Vomifene really helped!

I am going to Femina Clinic in PTA! Had such an awesome experience there with my LG! I got the birth i wanted, NVD without an epidural - even when they broke my waters at 5cm and i couldnt handle the pain anymore, the sisters encouraged me to go without as i had already gone so far... My gynae is Dr Reyn Marais at the Clinic and he is wonderful!

Good Morning Ladies,
Nadia,
Baie baie geluk met jou offisiele dubbelle Blessing. Ek is so onbeskryflik gelukkig vir julle.

juwayraj,
Oh My Word, You are far stronger than me, 'cause I would not have handled that taxi trip very well. But thanx for sharing! I had a really good laugh.

Kelz,
I am so excited right along with you, but I on the other hand am not wishing the weekend away as this gives me the opportunity to puke in the comfort of my own home, without an audience. Hope you get to skip the MS!
Witch doctor are you using at the moment? I am using Dr. Dirk Vrey at Wilgers Hospital.

Anthea08,
Sorry to hear about the flu hun, stay in bed the weekend and rest as much as possible! Glad to hear the Vomifene is working for you!

AFM,
I was so excited thinking: "okay, I only throw up once or twice a day in the morning"... But then last night I lost my dinner too and went to bed feeling all crappy!
I honestly don't know how I am going to drive down to Cape Town next week, 1300km with this MS is NOT going to be fun. I think I am going to ask my gynie for a prescription or something!

Well I hope all you ladies have a wonderful day and relaxing weekend!
