Hi Tazzy great to hear from you

Oh no no no you got me very wrong. Tamina doesn't struggle to fall asleep at all. I almost never like put her to sleep, like rock her and stuff, she falls asleep on her own. She's a very chippy baby, forever making noise and laughing lately. Actually that's her problem, sometimes she's too busy to sleep. But ya, she just doesn't sleep for like 8 hours, she can go to like 5 hours, but normally after 4 hours she wants to feed. But even then she's awake for only like 15 to 20 minutes, she just feeds and burps if she's still awake and I immediately put her down and she's gone for another like 3 or 4 hours. I kinda explained that she's not like horrible, it's just that first I'm comparing her to my firstborn who slept through the night by 6 weeks, and, I thought that by like 10 weeks latest she'll definitely be sleeping for 8 hours, so I didn't even prepare myself that she'd still be waking up to feed. So ya, it just makes me tired hey to have my sleep broken for 3 months every night, 4 months actually cos last month of pregnancy I couldn't sleep :silly:

Juwayraj did you find out why you were struggling with the pics....

Hi ladies, so annoying I keep replying to posts from my phone only to realize they not going through  No wonder no one replied to me!

Anyway on hubby's computer now, not being in front of a laptop all day keeps u very sheltered!

So nice to hear everyone's news and see pics - all your baba's are growing so well and are too cute!

Connor is 3 months old and weighs 5.3kgs, he sleeps from 6 - anywhere btw 2 - 4:30am then 7/8 am so I consider myself lucky. What donu ladies call sleeping through? I bath him @ 5:30 feed @ 6pm maybe if I push out this to 7pm he will sleep till 5:30am. He needs to sleep after being awake for an hour in the day ands sleeps for 45 min then has a long sleep in the late afternoon.
SMA - try reading sleep since, that book changed my life! Before reading that Connor used to be awake most of the night and always needed to be rocked to sleep now he goes straight back to sleep alone in his cot :)
JUWAYRAJ - Connor also goes on a breast strike - I went to see a BF consultant and now I only feed him with the Medela Calma Bottle, they have to suck like they do on a breast to get milk out so they won't go off your boob, a normal bottle is much easier for them so they get lazy on the boob, with the Calma bottle they have to work just as hard. I give Connor a top up at night with expressed breast milk as my supply is always low!

I struggle with Connor vomiting, he always burbs then straight after projectile vomits, plead said its from a post nasal drip.. But he can't lie horizontal after eating cause then he pukes - we go through about 7 bibs a day!

I go back to work in 5 weeks and could die thinking about it - I am going to miss my baby so so much! How did u. 2nd time mommies do it?

Will be in touch more now that I know my phone doesn't post my mags

Xxxx

Nice to hear from you Juwayraj

I'm also at work today...helping out....Both my kids are at the same nanny so at least I have peace of mind.

Oh gosh I can't wait for Tamina to sleep through the night, she still wakes up every 4 hours to feed, I actually have no idea how I'll manage when I'm back at work full time, but hopefully by then she'll be sleeping longer. If she sleeps early I actually wake up twice.....totally exhausting to have your sleep broken hey, even though I'm up for a short while...

Hellllooooooooo there.....

I think I need a couple more hour in the day...time flies...really!

Hope everyone is doing well, all the babies are growing so big!!

AFM:

Jody weighed 6.2kg at his last check up (14 weeks) which was 2 weeks ago and I'm totally happy with the way he's growing. He was feeding well up until I introduced him to the bottle & formula which as also 2 weeks ago. I do express atleast for one feed but I try to have for 2 feeds and its quite difficult to find the time to express and do all the other stuff us mommies have to do. I have stared him on Infacare soya ( I used it with my son) as I'm just a bit careful for allergies because almost all of the little ones on my Hubby's side have eczema and all sorts of allergies. Jody's had this patches of reddish dry skin, especially in the folds of his arms and knees and on hs tummy. I got some cream to help but I saw that if i dont put it on for a while, the patches comes back.

He sleeps through most nights and when he wakes up it will be for a feed or just to lay in my bed.... next to me. He totally hates being covered with the blankies at night, he simply does not settle down if we dont strip him down to being just in his vest. He has this habit of kicking off the blankets, not wanting he's feet closed and he hates the sleep sack. In the morning when we wake up he's legs and arms are ice cold but he's fast asleep.

Jody is always looking for someone to talk to and my MIL is vry happy to be that someone....lol. She enjoys the time with him. My SIL is currently looking after him when I'm at work. She sometimes text me to ask why he's so boring cos she doesn't wake him for his feeds then he'd probably sleep right throught the entire day.

I was due to start work on 2 May but came in for a few days when needed and brought Jody with. Then last week I decided to come back fulltime and bring him with me occasionally (when the weather is nice). I totally feel you on "missing" work Anthea and I know I'm gonna miss being home with the kids.

I think Jody is starting to refuse the breast and I've noticed this the last 2 days now. The plan was/is to have him drink whatever I express during the day and formula to top up and strictly breast when I'm home at night and weekends. I am actually worried that he will wean himself off the breast now. Any ideas on how to prevent or fix this? I so much want to breastfeed for much longer and the way things are going now looks to me that it wont be possible.
