Hey ladies.....

Wow it's been a loooong week......my kids are both sick.....flu.....so my days are all about runny noses coughs lots of crying medicine spitting.... Tamina's appetite dwindled so I was quite worried about that... But they are better now, playful, eating better. Tamina got her vaccines yesterday, she's 12 weeks today. She's 6kg so at least the flu didn't harm her growth much, she's 62 cm. I can't believe she'll be 3 months next week...time flies....

Also not feeling too lekker....

Sadly I have to start introducing bottles, wish there was a way I could come home and feed her, but am determined to breast feed as long as possible and will express at work.

In a way I am looking forward to returning to work, I miss the intellectual stimulation of my job. Don't get me wrong, I love my kids and would love to be a SAHM but then I would still like my job as a halfday job. I crave the mental stimulation too!

She too takes a dummy when she's tired.... But it does help to have it around so we also constantly have hers on her.

I hear you about the expanding heart, my mum told me it would happen but I didn't quite expect it to be so intense! Its truly amazing the love one feels for both kids!

Its cold here in Gauteng, asked my eldest if she wanted to stay in bed with me and said NO - she wants to go to school! She really loves her school, am so glad we decided on this one! She started swimming lessons and is still a bit apprehensive about the water but is slowly getting there. She's becoming a real little girl now. She's noticed when I wash my hair I blowdry it so now I have to do the same for her! Here's a pic I took last night:

She's really becoming so adorable now! Still has bouts of jealousy towards Morgan, but we're managing it well!

I too am wondering how the other ladies are doing! Hope to hear from them soon too!

@Anthea, The bottles i bought before his birth have been sterilized & sitting in the cupboard since before he was born.... Not touched them once yet...

He has a dummy attached to him most days... what for i have no idea as he never sucks on it. Only when he's really really tired and we put him to sleep will he suck on it. I probably shouldn't bother.

I wonder how the other ladies are doing?

You mentioned going back to work... Luckily i work from home so don't have those issues and quite honestly i don't think i'd cope. As i said previously my work is now quiet so i'm trying to catch up on the last 3 months that i missed out on with being so busy... Look forward to when my princess goes back to school next week so that i can spend some one on one time with my boy!

I must say before he was born i was worried about how i was going to share my heart with another child, but am quite shocked to discover i haven't needed to share it as it's just grown bigger to accommodate for all the extra love i have

My princess is driving me nuts lately but she is also my precious little angel, but my baby boy also holds a different kind of special place in my heart!

Hi Cherikey

It was taken before, but she is just as happy now as she was this morning...

Gave her a formula bottle now, just to try it. Gave her 100mls and she finished it all in one sitting, albeit very slowly... She has had 2 bottles previously, but with breastmilk in and she pumped them both hey! And Colby?

She takes a dummy every now and then, not a dummy sucker as such like her sister was...

@Anthea, was that taken today after her vacc's? She looks quite happy after her shots???

Yes, my clinic sister is super happy with him as well. Yes, he was a big boy and is going strong. Hubby & I aren't short, but we aren't tall people (just average) so quite surprising that he's so long already.

Has Morgan had a bottle yet? Is she into a dummy?

Attached is the 3month old girl  She's such a champ, barely cried at her vaccinations today!

She's growing very well! She has more than doubled her birth weight: she was 2.7kgs and is now 5.7kgs!! Clearly i have enough milk - hehehe! I too squirt her at times and have to letdown into her spoegdoek else she chokes on the force of it... She was 48cm at birth and is now 59cm. Hubby and i are both not very tall. Clinic Sister was very happy with her growth :woohoo:

She also recommends we start with the Nan formula as a substitute for the breastmilk...

Cherikey - your LO's are gorgeous hey! And Colby is growing so well! He was a big boy at birth and seems to be continuing in that trend! Its really great!
