Hi Mariri

Would you recommend Dr Tsuari? I am looking for a female Gynae with full cover from Discovery health. Dr Tsuari is the closest to me.

Your advice will be greatly appreciated.

Silence is golden they say. But I have been very busy. But that sound right with babies in the house. Does not get much time on the net.

Pieter was in hospital for 2 weeks. Also not regulating temp and low bloodsugar. And after 1 week there was blood in his nappy, so they needed to make sure all is well and gave him antibiotics. So another 7 days. But all is well that ends well. They went for the 6 weeks check up and Ansie is 3.7 and Pieter is 2.7. So they are picking up nicely. Got flu at the moment, so we nebulise and give mucospect. Luckily I am still breastfeeding, so they should be back on track soon.

Kades Mom How is Amelia doing? Can you imagine that our bumps are now little people!! How is her older sister handling the change? How is the healing of the wound going? That for me is still the weirdest, the scar feels numb, but look good. So hopefully not too far then all is healed.

Hi there ladies

I hope that you all are well. LO's?

Sorry for being so hush.

Amelia Lesley was born on the 1st August 2013 via c-section.

marelizen: Congrats on the birth of the twins, sorry that it ended up in a c-section.
Wow, Pieter is so small, is he ok? Glad to hear that you are expressing, keep up the good work mommy. Breast milk for premmies is excellent!! Shame man, soon enough little Pieter will be home hang in there. Sending you fairy hugs!

Attached a pic of Amelia.

Amelia was in an incuabtor for over 3 hours, she couldnt regulate her body temperature and her blood sugar levels were low, they had to give her formula to regulate? does that make sense? I dont know. she had formula for 3 days until my milk came in, didnt have colostrum? or i didnt notice, but nothing would even express out.

i got cracked nipples and was terrible, only starting to heal now, sometimes its a perfect latch and other times its so sore that i want to cry. (oh i have flat nipples so i have to use a nipple shield to breast feed) atleast i am breast feeding and trying and sticking it out. anyone else had that?

Hope all is well ladies.

Hi All

My babies were born 5 August @ 02:40. I went into labor and I was ready to push, then we realized that number 1 was breach. So it ended up an emergency c-section. Turned out my son, Pieter, he weighed 1.79kg and he was struggling. So he initiated labor and then put his foot in the hole to make sure he got another route. his sister weighed 2.44kg.

He is currently in Parklane NICU or to be exact in the High Care of the Neonatal unit. He is still a bit small and his bowels had to learn to adapt. So I am expressing for him and then they are feeding the breast milk. At least my little girl is here with me and I am enjoying the closeness and the bond that we have. But driving to the hospital to visit him is getting to me :( Really want him to come home.

So good luck to all who are still waiting. Rather wait for a healthy baby, than struggle with a premie.

Hi ladies. Hope yourl are all well and counting down by now. How exciting! Sorry I've been quiet recently as I've been suffering from carpal tunnel syndrome on both my hands been really painful so I've stayed away from the computer.

How r the twins? Are you ready for them? Hope all goes well for u to give birth naturally. I am 37 weeks now and so impatient for my baby. Gynae still says natural for me and will take it from there should a Caesar be necessary as the cord is now around baby's tummy. But like he said it moves so Im hoping it comes off completely.

Kades mum, can u please let me know what bh feels like. And did u give birth yet? Please keep us informed :-)

Take care ladies and all the best for u and ur little ones.

Much love

We have reached birth month :) Good luck for all the births that need to happen.

It is funny how happy I feel for reaching 36 weeks. Not that there was any actual stress that we should not. The lower twin is head down and it looks like natural birth is going to happen.
