Hopefull!!!!! Wow Wow Wow!!!

Het begin bekommerd raak oor daar nie nuus was nie - maar nou het jy sommer dubbel daarvoor opgemaak!

H there ladies,

Okay I am back from the Radiologist. Every things looks good and I have two very active healthy babies!!!! I still cant believe I am having twins. With the IVF they planted back two egges but with the bleeding in week 5 we thought that only one embryo attached as on the scan we could only see one sac. At 6 weeks we did another scan and again only one could be seen on the sonar. As the doctor new we did IVF he especially looked for a second one.
Then yesterday it was clear as day that there was two. At the moment we think that the one sac we saw at the first scans split and that we have identical twins. The Radiologist says that the membrane between the two babies is very thin and she also thinks that they are identical i.e that they split.
The concern now is it looks like I have only one placenta this may hold no problem or it may result in one baby getting more from the placenta than the other. In most cases this is fine and only results in one being bigger than the other but in 10-15% of cases this can be a serious problem with both babies developing complications due to this.
At the moment both are very happy and healthy and we just need to keep a close eye on them.
We want to move gyni's from the one that assisted with the IVF monitoring as he is a very good but very unfriendly doctor with poor bed side manner. My DH really does not like him so we want to move to some one that we are more comfortable with. The only problem the other gyni that specialises in twins is very full and can only help me on the 11th of September, which in normal circumstances is fine as it is 4 weeks from now but ideally we would have like another sonar in between this. We decided that at the moment both babies are very healthy and happy so we will wait and go to the gyni we prefer and we might then do a scan in two weeks time with the GP just to make sure every thing is fine.

Hi Ladies sorry I did not update yesterday and I will post pics later. Every thing is perfect but we found out yesterday that I am expecting twins!!!!!!!!!!!!! My emotions are still over the place but we are very excited. Both babies seem healthy but I am seeing the Radiologist now at 09:00 for a detailed NT scan. I will update after that!!!!!!

Jeanine, Ek is jammer jy voel nie lekker nie ek moet se toe ek weer daar by die porseleintroon vanoggend buig toe sien ek ook darem maar uit na die ende van 12 weke!!! Jy het my volle sympatie!!!

AFM: Naarheid kom en gaan, sleep is effe beter maar steeds moeg. Ek is vandag 11weke 6 dae en my afspraak is 12:15 vandag ( maar dit is 13:15 SA teid wand Namibia is n uur agter op die oomblik ) Ek sal nog vandag kom update maar sal eers laat midag wees

Dis nie dieselfde "heeltyd naar" gevoel as vroeer nie, dis die "voel een oomblik fine, en le die volgende oomblik oor die toilet rand" gevoel Ek kan nie wag vir 12 weke nie

Weet iemand hoe laat Hopeful se scan is? Gaan weer n lang dag wees om vir updates te wag

Ek is bly om te sien dat dit nog goed gaan met julle!

Ek was gister vir NT scan en dok se alles lyk goed. En.....toe word my droom waar....'n dogtertjie!! Ons is SOOO opgewonde! Haar kamer is al gereed haha. Lyk my Februarie is di maand van dogtertjies

My naarheid is heeltemal weg, sooibrand is maar nog kom en gaan en moegheid is al beter. Enigste simptoom wat my nie wil los nie is die "hongerte". Ek het vir my klomp gesonde snacks gaan koop waaraan ek heeldag by die werk peusel so hoop dit help vir die gewig. Ek het al 8kg sover opgetel Hopelik gaan dit nou beter!

Geniet jul dagi verder dames!

btw - ek weet nie of dit net ek is nie - maar dit voel vir my of my naarheid weer erger begin raak in die laaste paar dae?

Dis nogsteeds nie so erg soos aan die begin nie - kom en gaan nog met tye, maar dis asof dit meer intens is!

Een van die vrouens in die kantoor (sit omtrent 5 meter van my af) het vis gehad vir lunch (geruik soos pilchards of iets ), en ek moes vir omtrent 5 minute by die venster uithang!!! die HELE oopplan kantoor het gestink (en dis groot - 50+ mense!!!!), so kon nie eers erens anders gaan wegkruip het nie!! die kombuis is op die een punt, en haar tafel op die ander - so so ver as wat sy geloop het, stink dit!!!!

Sy weet nie eks preggies nie, maar die dame langs haar weet, en sy se sy het my by die venster gesien, en onmiddelik geweet hoekom

Voeg daarby dat ek ook al lekker honger was (lee maag = naar), maar toe weier ek om my kos so gou in daai selfde mikrogolf te sit - reuk moes eers weg
