Hello from a rainy and cold Cape Town! Quite a different scene outside compared to the past couple of months.

I'm literally counting the seconds to my appointment this Friday! It's at 9am so don't have to wait a day longer. DH and I are super excited. I must admit I am paranoid/nervous about the appointment with lots of negative "what if" scenarios. I'm going to pray a little bit longer tonight so that this feeling goes away once and for all. Told my colleague today that I'm "feeling pregnant" - heaviness reigns down there today...

Can anyone recommend something for constipation? I've only been able to go to the bathroom every 2 to 3 days and before I went daily.

jinxedsa I'm counting the days! It's as exciting as the build up to my wedding day

cornitalia Welcome! We have the same EDD

Question: Why are pregnancy journals sooooo expensive?! I've decided to take a leather bound notebook and turn it into a journal, will get some scrapbook supplies to make it pretty.

Hi Everyone

Jinxedsa / 22nd September / tba / 8 April

I will monst definately not be able to wait until birth to find out the gender of my baby. I started a guess the gender between my friends and family and then we will see who's right.

I am now 13 weeks and 2 days, baby about the size of a peach.
My ms seems to be getting better, but have trouble sleeping.
Bad headaches and my back is killing me. And retaining water like nothing.
But knowing all is well with little one makes it all worth while.

Gain-a-baby you must be so excited for next week not long to go now.

Hi Ladies,

How are things going? I've been reading through other mommies by Months post and came across this: Name / EDD / Gender / Next App

"we" won't know the gender yet but I though it would be good to do a round up :) maybe even update the signatures on profiles.

Have you ladies decided if you want to know your baby's gender or wait until birth?

AFM: I'm 9 weeks along and baby is about the size of a grape. I'm feeling fine, my appetite has increased slightly which I'm trying very hard to control. Being pregnant during winter is going to be difficult when choosing what to wear! I'm so excited for my first appointment next week Friday. One of the questions I need to ask my obgyn is about "incompetent cervix" another post I saw on the moomie forum this morning.

Happy pregnancies all around

Hi TashD, welcome! I'm also a first timer my appointment was earlier this week. My doctor examined me externally and internally, talked us through all the possible complications, discussed which Vitamins are best, what to eat, what not to eat, what meds to take, screening tests and of course what everyone holds their breath for, we did an ultrasound and listened for heartbeats, she also measured our babies to see how far along you actually are. Its such an exciting experience. I felt like screaming with joy when I saw the images on the screen. Try and take your partner with you, it really opens up there eyes to what's really going on with you and seeing them when they first see the scan is priceless. Good luck with your appointment!

Thanks everyone for your well wishes! I truely hope I'm up for the challenge once these two arrive :P
