Hi Ladies

Thanks so much for the info! I have printed that list pearlyglaze :)
Im really starting to enjoy to enjoy the pregnancy now. My morning sickness seems to have subsided on most days - and i do seem to have a bit more energy. Everyone has commented that i am commenting big for a first pregnancy. Which has left me very despondent. Doctor has informed me that baby is healthy and growing perfectly normal, which is a relief, but i keep researching to find out why I am so big. Why am i not "normal" . . .

Good luck dear with your scans and hopefully all is well.

My scan went well yesterday and I did the blood withdrawal for down syndrome and will know at my next appointment in 4 weeks time.

The baby's gender is a boy, I already have a 9 year old boy. Can i not be given a girl so I can play with her hair and dress her up... ;-)

And thank you about the registry advise.

@sugar-and-spice With my first pregnancy, i made a list of of items to buy and then updated it as I bought items. My sister arranged one of my baby showers and i gave her the updated list (with items still to buy) to use as a registry.

I was lucky enough to have 3 baby showers, 2 in CPT and one in DBN and for the one baby shower, i requested only toiletries as I had already received tons of clothes with the first two

A friend of mine gave me a good tip - she said whenever she went into the shops for groceries and to buy everyday items, she would add one of two baby toiletry items, like powder, cream, baby wipes, nappies, etc. In this way you build up a considerable stock by the time baby comes and don't feel the expense as much as when you are on maternity leave and possibly not earning a full salary.

I built up such a good reserve that i still had items right up to Peyton's first year and it really helped.

I started buying the toiletries last week. :)

@Pearlyglaze - how did your appointment go - Did you find out the gender?

I have another scan at the Fetal Assessment Centre on 27th June - that is the 20w scan although i will be 21w then and another scan with my gynae on 30th June - looking forward to it!

I seem to be carrying very big :P  I look as if I'm 6 months pregnant :silly:

Hi Ladies

@Amyreally hope you feel better soon.

A quick question - i find myself so eager to buy baby things constantly.
I am wondering what all should I buy now, and what should i wait for baby shower for?

My sister has asked me to do a registry in the next few months at a shop of my choice for whenever my baby shower is.

Not sure what all i should have on the baby shower list and what all i should buy personally?

Help anyone?

By the grace of God all this will be a different outcome at birth. You will have a baby that you will love regardless of what we are made to believe about normal or abnormal children.

A child is a child and that is all that matters. Good luck.

I have a Dr's appointment today, I cant wait to see the baby. I'm 15 weeks and 4 days, hopefully will be able to know the gender as well.
