Thanks starry for the support. I am glad the breastmilk is helping. Who knew! That's so cool. Thank for the tip newbiemom.

RonelleB.. After I got back from the doctor yesterday and I was sore from the sweep she did. I also just had a break down. Yes my cervix is soft..but no dilation and he isn't engaged. I felt so frustrated too. Hubby took me out for curry lunch and added extra chilli and then went with me for a walk on the beach. I felt better after that. It's just so hard to stay positive and confident for so long. The more I wake up with nothing happening, the more I fear it when it will. I just keep thinking, the longer it takes, the more chance of it not going smoothly. I just want it to go as smoothly as possible. With all my hypnobirthing classes and reading and meditation, I was hoping it would be easier to stay calm..but I'm totally freaking out now.
Try to keep staying strong. Deep breathes. It will all be Ok. Soon ronelle. Soon.

Hi ladies

Had yet another sleepless night while knowing I need to rest

Starry_ thanks for the support, have been wondering how you've been dealing with baby blues?

Newbie_ so glad someone with experience still hangs around!

Which brings me to ask both of you: are either of you using a wedge in your LO's cot at the moment?

Faffy_ thinking of you. I had a slight meltdown yesterday eve, crying from pure frustration and just exhaustion. Fortunately hubby was in "fully understanding" mode and close by... :(

Faffymum... RonelleB

I am thinking of you and holding thumbs that there is some action soon. I am checking in regularly! ;) we will support each other until the end. ;)

Being a new mom is very challenging... We are getting to know each other and I love my little boy more each day. My poor darling is only 6 days old and is now oozing yellow stuff out his eye... Poor poppit. When I was preggy I saw birth as the end but it is only the beginning. I catch myself checking he is breathing when he sleeps... Miss feeling his kicks in my tummy.

I know you are uncomfortable but savor these last few days. Keep us posted xxx

Doc says cervix is nice and soft. She did a sweep and couldn't manage the stretch because is was so uncomfortable. Sho, it's no fun. Anyways. So now we wait and hope that something happen. Otherwise doc will see me next week for another sweep.

Sho. Feeling a bit nervous. I'm not sure I'm ready for the pain.

Oh Faffy! I can completely understand how you feel... I think it's a great idea to have hubby drive you, makes him feel needed

So your "official" date is today and coincides with dr visit - same for me, but only tomorrow... I have this vague suspicion my impatience will be rewarded with being overdue by quite a bit :pinch: . In the interim I'm keeping myself busy (going grocery shopping today, which I know will be tiring and risky but the walking and focus elsewhere might help)

Good luck with the appointment, keep us posted! And try to relax...
