And nothing progressed. No more cramps this morning.

Shame I have asked hubby to take half day so that he can drive me to the doctor. I don'think I should be driving now. I just hope she says something is happening.

Feeling a bit frustrated.

Hi ladies.

I have been getting some interesting cramps since last night 8pm. They are not increasing in intensity but they are pretty sore. Trying to sleep through and see if it progresses before hubby goes to work later. I feel it in my back now so it might be early stages or just icky Braxton hicks. Have my doctor check up at 10am. Maybe I'll have something to show by then. Trying to be very calm and patient but it's difficult.

For a First time mom...This is nerve wrecking!!! I Don't want to tell family yet because they will message every 5 mins in anticipation and maybe it's nothing.

Yes I had them again last night. At least I could just go to sleep and not worry.

I know!!!!! I think people assume everyone has c sections, or that babies are spot on time. I went to a braai yesterday and so maybe people asked when is due date and almost fell off their chairs hen I said, tomorrow. Looked at me like a ticking bomb.. then when they left.. the one dude, who is a father! Said good luck for tomorrow. Lol. I looked confused, so he said, due date is tomorrow right. I was like...yes but... nevermind.. Thank you.
Lol. One guy also asked if I'm having twins...and I do not have a large belly. So I think some people just don't think. Lol

Yup and so we wait patiently i am trying not to put pressure on myself or baby but it's hard when everyone is waiting. So just trying to think about other things for now. Nothing we can do. If my doctor tries to make me feel like he should be more progressed or anything I will walk out the door. Due dates are a total guess.

Stay calm and confident. Just get your mind off other people and our babies will come soon.

Faffy_ what you're describing is proper Braxton's or so I was told . I've had those on and off for a week or so. Can be scary, first time it happened to me I got a fright (that was the Friday when we thought it was time and my bag wasn't ready!)

Starry_ so glad you're still checking in! I'm sure being a new mom is much tougher than what we've thought but it sounds as if you're doing great. Just keep going!

Another day and week starting and we're still waiting Faffy... I'm trying my best to coax this LO from her spot (even played adventure golf yesterday!) She's making me work real hard for this It still amazes me how people think babies arrive at a designated date and time (I guess the convenience of c-secs make them forget)....I'm saying this as some people around us keep asking and keep being surprised and confused when they hear we're still waiting. *sigh*

Anyhoot...will keep checking in...hope you all have a restful public holiday!

Sorry Faffymum! That happened to me a week before I went into actual labour.

Nothing happened. I just had the weird belly contraction and pelvic ache and I went to bed and it went away. At least things are doing something now.

Shame starry. I really hope things improve quickly. Really is tough.

Faffymum.... What you are describing never happened to me but it sounds exactly like what happened to my friend. I even saw her stomach contracting around the shape of her baby. So strange... It was not sore for her either... 12 hours later it developed and became full blown labour. I am holding thumbs that this is it for you. Keep us posted!!

I have had a rough few days with our little one... Head and back very sore... Waiting to go back to doc on Wed and see if it's from the spinal block. Just like he was in my tummy... My little boy is a night owl!! I am trying desperately to shift his routine... Oh the joys of not having fluid to muffle their loud voices haha. Love him so much though.


Thinking of all of you often! We will have to move over to a babies by months chat or something?? So glad I had my baby in April with all of you xxx
