Hi Ladies!!!

Just a super quick short update!!!

I had my beautiful baby girl sunday morning 8:00!! It was a relatively long labour, but it felt like 7 hours and not 15! It was the most amazing positive experience although one of the most intense things I have ever done! Baby was 3.73 kg...much more than everyone predicted. She is in good health and we were discharged 3 hours after she was born. I feel a bit like a horse kicked me in the butt, but all well and grateful. B)

Will try and come and update here again ASAP and would love to hear how everyone else is doing. I have only had the privilege of one 5 min shower and one Salt sitz bath yet...so forgive me if I am scarce.

Keep strong ladies - you will all have your babies shortly!!

Hi ladies!

Apologies for my extensive silence  just had such a looooong list of errands to run since I've stopped working. Like repacking all the bags and realising I dont have enough newborn sized clothing...and epsom salts etc for that sitz bath recipe and and and... think I'm ok now and plan to relax more this week.

Newbie_ I am soooo glad and happy for you! I can only hope we all have that great experience of less than expected pain and pure bliss... give that lil princess endless kisses from us all ;)

Starry_ what a giggle I had at your comment  I must admit I've not felt like that since wk 30 when I shouted at hubby that he best run for I am going to strangle him with bare hands!!! Pure hormones, shame they do take shots he he he...

Gloei_ sounds like your having an interesting time... amazing how our minds and bodies can play tricks on us. I was wondering over the weekend how much say the baby actually has when it comes to labour starting...? Do they start procedings or is it our bodies that decide to "expell" this little resident? Mmm... stay strong and keep us posted if you can?

Faffy_ so glad you're also off now. Take it slow (or try to at least). I think I feel like I'm watching paint dry...

Good luck ladies!

Hi Ladies,

Newbiemom - So glad you are all home!!! Sjoe, it sounds as if things are a bit challenging at the moment, but I can hear you know exactly what you are doing. A friend of mine recently also gave birth birth to a 2.1 kg baby and she did exactly what you did and soon she was able to switch to the breast full time - just keep going, I know the expressing is tough.
You are so positive and such an inspiration to us all!! xx

Okay...this time I think it might be ON!! he he he he. Surges coming regularly, although about 7 minutes apart and lasts about 1 minute. Hope that it progresses steadily. Will update as soon as I can!!

Thinking of everyone.

Lol Gloei @ atleast once a day. So true :)

We are home and fine. Baba was so tiny that she had trouble sucking so feeding was a bit of a challenge, and her blood sugar levels dropped very quickly. 3 hours after her birth the midwife drove us to hospital with her, but she was okay once she had a good feed. We are currently feeding her expressed milk through a syringe on very strict timing, i.e. 15mls every 2 hrs day and night and she cant drink for longer than 30mins otherwise she gets tired and sugar levels built up through feeding drops again because of all the work shes doing. She has to exercise sucking on a dummy and its working so well. She had a great 6 mins of breastfeeding a while ago, which i am so thankful for as my milk is coming in now and would sooo prefer her to drink rather than expressing. Her blood sugar level is up at 3.7 today from yesterdays 2.5. And she has picked up 80grams a day so far. We are very grateful that she is home with us. We had an amazing night of actually sleeping for an hour each time after feeding her, so we would sleep an hour and be awake an hour at a time and that is manageable! She is also on skin to skin treatment all day, so we enjoy the bonding that comes with that prescription ♡ everything is so amazing, i am so in love and just having a truly amazing time!!

I feel so bad for not replying to whats going on with everyone! Our schedule is so hectic that technology is reaaally not a priority at the moment, but i wanted to come and see if anyone else has given birth. Thinking of you all, will keep checking every now and then. Not long now girls xxxxx

Hi Ladies!

Newbiemom - Hope you and baby are doing well? Hope baby didn't have to be hospitalised because of her size? Really hope she is at home with you all. Thinking of you!!!

StaryEyed - Still having surges?? or all gone?
I totally hear you...I have had a few moments of extreme irritability towards hubby. I kind of freaked out because he swallows his coffee too loudl!! Ha ha ha! At times I feel so close and connected to him again. Whichever way, I am pretty sure hormones are causing havoc with our minds at the moment. Shame, hubby just "smile and nod" whenever I am irritated with him - I think he deserves a medal for his patience with my moods. So, yes, I think it is all hormonal...

So at least once a day I think I am in labour...he he he....this time round I have been having non-stop menstrual like cramping that doesn't seem to be easing up. The most constant that I have had to date yet. Will go for a walk just now and see if they intensify.

Hope you and hubby can manage under one roof...not long now until you will have your body back (sort of).
