BeautifullyAngie, every company is different. Some companies will pay a part of your salary while you are on maternity leave, others will not pay, some of the select few pay your full salary. You need to ask your company

Morning ladies...

Can someone explain the whole UIF/Maternity pay thing please? I was under the impression that for these 4 months you live off your UIF only. A friend told me that your company also pays you... So you get paid twice? I'm so lost/confused, does this apply to all companies? #FTM

Morning Ladies!

Wow it's been busy in here. Meant to get back and reply to peeps yesterday, but spent most of the afternoon in a meeting out on one of our mines....

@Simone. I have 2 girls from a previous marriage. They are now 11 and 13 yrs. So this little one will have 2 wonderful big sisters to help out! :)

@Stella. The list looks great! :) I see you have my EDD. My next appointment will be my last with the GP, after that it's off to the gynae. GP app is set for 17 March. Should be about 18 weeks then.
Gender, well we're not 100% sure, GP said it might be a boy, but he's only 60% sure, so I'll wait till next time. Maybe then the little rascal will lie still enough for us to see.
(holding thumbs for a boy tho. :cheer: )

Loving all the baby scans that are going up. They're all so cute!!!

Honestly never thought I'd be doing this again with my girls so big already. But I'm loving every minute! :)

Weight gain... Omg! lol. the first 2 times i picked up 25kgs, granted I was slightly underweight at the time, and lost it all within the first 2 months.
So far I have picked up 4 or 5kgs.
I'm eating like a pig during the day, mostly salty snacks and fruit, but find I cannot stomach red meat at all! Sticking to chicken, fish and pork, as it's all I can manage. Supper time I'm not very hungry anyway after snacking all day. :laugh:

Hope everyone's has an awesome day!!!

@Simone

It is a suppository I have to take every evening for the next four weeks. At our 16 week scan doc will decide if it is ok to stop taking it.

Happyface glad your scan went well! How long will you still have to be on the shots?
