Hope everyone had a great weekend.

Omg we had a busy one! I got spoilt rotten DF's mum and sister took me out for a mani & pedi.. told me we were going baby shopping, haha!

DF finally landed a preliminary interview Saturday, 2nd Interview is today! Holding thumbs and fingers crossed, coz it sounded soooo positive Saturday!

@Meags; your baby bump looks so cute! Braxton Hicks, oh hell yeah! Started last week, Thursdayish I think. So far not too bad, but somehow I picked up a bit of a tummy bug, and Saturday night I thought I was in labour! between tummy cramps and Braxton Hicks, I thought I was either dying or having baby!

Anywho, too excited to think of work today. So hoping DF gets this job! If he does, it means moving to Pretoria, and that means I can resign here, which will suit me just perfectly!
Here's hoping!!!

Good morning Ayesha, how long did you plan to go on maternity leave. luckily the basic guide to maternity leave stipulates that you may get at least 4 months of maternity leave. read below:

Hope every one has a wonderful short week, i am counting the hours until Thursday 1PM i am beyond exhausted, and permanently hungry these days.

My boss tells me today that he wants me bk as soon as possible from my maternity leave, i am soon missed off nearly quit today.

As I a midwife, I can put all yours minds to ease regarding to sleeping. Sleep how you want. The excess weight of the baby starts from 8 months. By then you are so big and uncomfortable and up wee'ing every 2-3 hours that it makes no difference what position you sleep in. Mostly, once in labour, that's when it's important not to be on your back. The weight of the baby PLUS contractions provide less oxygen to the baby. But weight of the baby on its own usually isn't an issue.

Anyone started with braxton hicks? I've had them about 2-3 weeks now and get around 10 a day. Yesterday I definitely had more than 15 and lower back ache. Dunno what's up.

I am 19 weeks today. Scan only in like 4 weeks!! Have attached a belly photo.

Good morning Angie, all of the best with being back at work. luckily its a short(er) week. I've had pain in my right side since last week. my tummy is also bigger on my right side.. look funny for me.. luckily its not too obvious..

my appointments (20weeks) is on Thursday afternoon 12:00. after that I'm off for the long weekend. yeh!!

Hi Moomies

I'm back at work today. Flu is slowly getting better, went to the Doc and he gave me antibiotics and lousy cough mixture then deducted R345 off my MSA.

I'm having a hard time adjusting to sleeping on my side... I've always been a tummy and back sleeper.

A great 4 day week ahead to everyone any appointments this week?
