Hi Ladies, I'm new Tried joining Moomie a while back, but I think there was a technical glitch or something, then I forgot about it. In so glad to find this group though, wish I wasn't joining so late already!

Ayesha - I agree completely! Family is always number 1!

Ctelly - I've had an iron deficiency for years, sometimes it goes low sometimes it's ok, luckily never full anemia tho. I find it's also the cause for my low blood pressure.
Dr put me on the normal pre-natal vits, folic acid, and ferrous sulphate (iron supplements). The iron supplement changes in strength from month to month as he tests each time and prescribes what is needed.
Iron deficiency also causes extreme tiredness or fatigue, so I'm stuck with feeling tired all the time.
I wouldn't worry if I were you tho. You can always have it tested if you are worried that you're too tired all the time. Your dr should be able to tell you tho if he thinks it might be iron related.

I just couldn't face studying with a newborn. I'll finish off my last subject either in March or May next year. (provided I pass this exam... I'm so not sure my brain is retaining anything right now.)

This baby is so much more to me, i lost my dad very young inn my teens lost my sister and my mum a few years after. So it's only me n my brother and when my niece was born our little farm grew and with my kid it's more than just my baby it's a little of my farm and I'm no longer alone in the world if that makes sense?

I won't put my baby 2nd they dent deserve to come in to the world for that

Morning Daerhel - that's wonderful news!! so relocation is on the cards for you ? when will you move?
Do you take Magnesium suppl aswell? I'm only taking folic acid and magnesium (should I take more?) that's the only stuff the dr gave me.. anyway - hope you feel less tired soon.

Regarding the studying.. I'm not sure how i'll cope. i'm now halfway with my studies and even consider on doing another degree after this one..(lost my mind? haha) I now have two subjects and then another 2 the second semester, writing exam in May and June and again in Nov (when baby will be approx. 3 months old) I made the decision to have baby and study as I want to have 2 children and be done with studies by the time i'm 30.. a bit enthusiastic perhaps.. but Ive got a good support group and husband is very self sufficient. He is also completing his degree this semester. so I think i'll manage although it will be hard. (Planning baby nr 2 in 2 years)
Good luck with your last 2 subjects. I think its wiser to study again when things have "cooled" down and you have routine at home.

We are now beyond excited!!

DF's interview went fantastically!!
The lady doing the interview is the owner of a few lodges and a mine, and is planning to start up a transport/logistics division, to cut costs not only for her other businesses, but to start doing external and international work too.
Never mind offering DF a job, she offered him a partnership!!
This is his dream come true!
Alot of work for him for the next couple of months to get started up, he has to draw up a full plan on everyything, they're buying the first trucks this weekend, then he'll be in charge of interviewing his own staff, drivers, assistants, etc.
So over the moon! And I know he will make a huge success of this!

Ayesha - Shame your boss does not sound nice at all. You, your baby and your health comes first. Not your fault nobody else can do your job. What's he gonna do if you resign, chain you to your desk? Nah, I wouldn't worry about him. You do what is best for you!
Like you said, no amount of money is worth that nonsense. God will provide so long as you trust in Him.

All I can say is thank goodness this is a short week.... I'm permanently tired now days.
I've always had a low iron count, but not too low to be deficient. I've been on extra iron supplements from the beginning of this pregnancy coz my iron stays very very low, but they sure aren't helping the fatigue at all.
So bad today that I actually considered sneaking a small can of Red Bull!
I will say I behaved and settled for fruit juice!

Ctelly - how are you finding studying while pregnant? I'm studying Bookkeeping at the moment, (just 2 subjects to go), but I've asked for a break for the final subject after May's exams. I'm just not coping with work, pregnancy, and studying.
I'll restart after baby's here and finish my final subject early next year.

Ayesha - you have my sympathy. I also had a horrible manager for 3 years.. I cried so much during that period. Luckily due to restructuring I was able to move away from him. i still see him in the corridors. At least the Law is on your side. as far as I know You may not return before 4 months, your manager may also not discriminate against you and put you in a less favourable position then what you had before your maternity leave. so you must return to the same kind of work and earn the same salary and benefits. the fact that you are the only person capable and competent to do the work is not your problem, neither is your replacement (just my opinion - I'm a part-time Law student so I get quite excited about people being treated unfairly.. )

Daerhel how did the interview go?

ctelly we allowed 4 months maternity leave, but since i am the only person in the office, i am busy training my replacement and she is, i am sorry to say, DOF!!!!

he wants me back after 6 weeks, i put my foot down and plainly refused. My child comes 1st and i am praying me n my MIL can get the school tender, i cant take this job anymore. my boss thinks he owns me and its frustrating. no amount of money is worth this bullshit.

how are you ladies doing? looking forward to the long weekend, i plan on loosing my house keys and cell phone and just destressing if i can lol
