@Ctelly so glad your scan went well! This weekend I also woke up a few times at night with cramp-like pains. Got me worried for a second, but I'm sure its just the stretching. In the last week my bump has really appeared!

@ayesha all the best for tomorrows scan I've registered by pregnancy & delivery dates with the my hospital (mediclinic) on their website. I'm not sure if i must do any further bookings. Something i should definitely ask my dr next time.

@happyface YAY for feeling baba move! my Dh felt our little boy move for the first time last night, so precious!

I also had a nice relaxing weekend at my sisters place. It was nice to just chill, get away from work & stress.

My scan on Thursday went well, little boy finally doesn't look like an alien on the scans! Got a definite confirmation of the gender & all is fine. His weight is a tad under what it should be, but nothing below average. Will attach pic

I finally gave in & bought some preggy pants. Feels so much more comfortable now! & now that bump is in full swing, I'm really starting to feel pregnant.

sorry about the cramping. i had terrible cramps and pains with my whole pregnancy with my 1st, it terrible.

Ayesha, i only needed my ID and a authorization nr from the medical aid. but my medical aid only gives that nr after 36 weeks, so i booked my bed and just later phoned the hospital with the authorization nr. some hospitals also charge an amount when you book your bed.

Happyface, enjoy the kicking and movements, it is the very best part of pregnancy

Wide-eyed, sorry to say, but the hair growth is due to the pregnancy, nothing you can do to slow it down.

we had a great weekend. got most of what i needed for our party. and had friends over. G had a teething weekend, so we ha very little sleep, but at least 1 toothie cut through so now hoping toothie nr 8 follows soon then we can have a break from teething for a bit

wide eyed, i am in the same boat as you, i wax every week now and cant even go to my beautician its becumin tooo expensive, i have resorted to home waxing,

Ctelly, good to hear all is well from the scan! I had some nasty cramps a while back - turned out to be gas It's hard not to be anxious when you're not sure though.

Ayesha - can't wait to hear about your scan tomorrow! Mine's on Thursday When I booked in at Genesis Clinic it was just a short form with medical aid details, practice number of doc (and midwife in my case) and proceedure number (i.e. for normal birth/c-section), then I paid to book the bed. That's pretty much it, though if you haven't yet toured their maternity ward, you can probably check it out then too.

Happyface - yay for baby movement! Its really reassuring between scans

Just a quick question - does anyone know of any tricks to slow down excess hair growth? (especially facial - I can't go for a wax every week!)

Thank God it's Tuesday, despite the long weekend I am super tired this week!

Hi ladies!

I had such a nice weekend, visiting our families and relaxing! I also felt baby kick for the first time on Saturday, at exactly 19 weeks. Previously I felt the bubbles, but this was different. It is such an awesome feeling!

I don't know what the process is to book a bed at the hospital, but I think my gynea's receptionist assist with the process by phoning the hospital etc. I already got an authorization number from my medical aid when I registered the pregnancy. (at 12 weeks)

My next appointment is only in 3 weeks time - wish it was sooner! Can't wait to see him again!

At least this is a short week and already Tuesday!

mine flew by, barely felt it, went shopping thou and bought the cutest things, went a lil mad lol

my app is tomorrow at 2:30 and i cant wait, hoping to find out the gender finally keeping my fingers crossed

also have to do my hospital booking tomorrow, can any one tell me what the process is so im a lil clued up before i get there
