Hello ladies,
hope you are all well and had a relaxing weekend! Been reading this thread everytime I pop in to Moomie to see how you all doing.
Im about 6 weeks pregnant and if I follow my app im due 20 Nov. This will be our second baby, also have a little girl who is 2 and a half turns 3 in October.
I have my first app on the 18 April so counting down the days i get to hear and see our little blueberry!
@baby, im in Joburg South so have no clue regarding Gynae's in Pretoria good luck in the search.
@LillyR, Wow that would scare or make any new mommy worry with those words, I remember with my first we went at 6 weeks and the Gynae I went to then had done an internal sonar it was so tiny nothing was seen on an external. I think its best that your Gynae is honest enough to say he is getting too old and recommending you to someone else. Try not stress or worry too much it could just be too early
@HoopVirdieBeste, with my first we didnt want to know the sex either, was difficult for family and friends but exciting for us, our Gynae was brilliant she avoided the area and if needed to check certain things told us to look away. At our 12 week Fetal assessment with Dr Nicolau they had the screen saved and opened on the area, then asked us if we wanted to know what the sex of the baby was we said no and then said are you sure its right there for you to see - well we couldnt see it at all, we thought we saw little balls but were very wrong lol. When the doc said its a girl, I have my mom on video say no it cant be, I was sure its a boy. I had people asking me what side I felt the first kick, people tellling me my body shape means this, my nose means that, you gonna have it all.
@Happi1 i too had dull cramps, but thats gone now, they say your body still goes through the same process of if you were ovulating and having a period except without the actual ovulation and menstruation happening. If there is a bloody show with the cramping I would get it checked out.
As for symptoms on my side, very different to my first, I have serious nausea in the mornings, it could just be because I was hit with the Flu last week, however I have noticed if I eat too much I feel absolutely aweful and if I eat cereal in the mornings the nausea lasts longer. Sense of smell is extremely heightened, slightly tender boobies and excessive thirst.
@Pillpusher I dont know if I could do the whole getting sick thing, when I get sick I dont stop I carry on, so Im hoping I dont reach that point.
Anyway have a fabulous week ladies, and looking forward to seeing all the scans soon!
