@ HoopVirDieBeste - my little "grape" ;) is 2.42cm long. Also hoping I am just lucky as I don't think I would manage work and morning sickness!haha

@lilly - did the gynae at least explain anything to you why you couldn't see anything? I know my first scan a month ago all you could really see was a dot and the uterus? Could it be maybe that it was too soon for an ultrasound to see anything? Thinking of you!

@Candypops welcome... so that makes us more or less a week apart. My FS could not get the good quality photo as yours as I have a fibroid that was in the way... :( what size is your little pea in mm or cm? (you know that your little pea ain't a pea anymore... it is already the size of a grape? :P )

My FS also told me that I am either very lucky with not having any symptoms... or that I should brace myself as it may come and it will come with vengeance... but I trust that I am not going to get bad symptoms...

Have a lekke day Mommies to be!

Good morning Mommies

It is so reassuring reading all your posts, thank you.

We went for my scan on Wednesday and was so overwhelmed when we saw our little pea for the first time and to hear the heartbeat was beyond amazing. We were relieved to hear everything is ok so far. I cannot put into words how I am feeling at the moment knowing there is another heartbeat inside me now. It finally feels real to me now. I thought I was 7 weeks but turns out I am in my 9th week already.

I feel exactly the same as HoopVirDieBeste with regards to having no symptoms really besides sore boobs. I spoke to my gynae and he said I am either very lucky or the symptoms are still coming. I was a bit worried before the scan but feeling grateful now.

How are all the other moms feeling?

@lilly - how did your gynae appointment go?

Be safe moms

Morning all the mommies to be!
@Lilly - I wanted to know the gender but DH not, so we decided that seeing it is his choice not to know the gender, then I will choose the name if it is a girl.. if it is a boy he will get daddy's name as it is and will be the only grand child and grand son on his side of the family.

@zo3sta - I heard and read it all over that you will start to show much quicker with your second pregnancy... I also have no symptoms except for tender boobies and nipples... other wise nothing at all.

@baby - I am in Pretoria east, I had my last appointment with the FS yesterday and he got me an appointment with Dr Grasie at Kloof hospital, it was a special request as she is my both my sisters Gynea and did the births of their 3 children, it is not easy getting an appointment with her, my 1st appointment with her is only the 11th of May, I am not even sure if she takes on new patients anymore.. like I said, it was a special request. I do know that all the Dr's at Kloof are brilliant.

@happi1 - as this was an assisted pregnancy and the fact that I have fibroids, my appointment with the FS was every 2 weeks, 1st one was at 4 weeks, then at 6, then at 8 and then at 10, it was more to see if the fibroids have grown. My next appointment is a fetal assessment the 10th of April, then I will be almost 13 weeks, my first gynea appointment will be on the 11th of May and then I will be 17 weeks...I also had period like cramps in weeks 4 - 8 every now and then, but it gets less and less every week. My FS said those cramps are likely to be caused by the fibrosis.

AFM - Went for blood work on Monday, but that will be sent to the people doing the fetal assessment, and I went for my FS appointment yesterday, sticky bean is 35.1mm already and it was amazing to see that little thing move.... so tiny but already a little human...WOW, we could not get clear images as the darn fibroid was in the way. FS said that we should not worry about the fibrosis as he is almost sure that it will disappear on its own as the blood flow to it will be less and less and then they die and poof gone... well that is what happened to one of his other patients. It also seems that they are not growing so quickly anymore so that is good news. I am sad that I am leaving him now as he is absolutely amazing. I would gladly recommend Dr Pentz to anybody that is battling ttc. As I mentioned above, I STILL have no symptoms at all, if it wasn't for the scans and seeing that little heart beat, I would never have guessed that I am pregnant. I am on my last day of Progesterone tablets, and in two weeks time the Folic Acid also no more. I am drinking pregnavite and will continue with it even after the pregnancy...

Have a good one all!

@Clueless- how are you feeling today?

@HoopVirDieBeste- thnak you thank you thank you. How did the scan go? I also dont want to know the gender, but DH wants to. Who will win this one, i dont know..LOL.

@Candypops- Welcome. How are you doing dear? How did your scan go? or are you only doing it today(wed)? We are all here for you. Pop in whenever yuo can and keep us posted on how its going.

@Happi1- Welcome:) Well I finally booked my appointment, will be seeing my gynae tomorrow. I will then hear from him when again i shoukd see him. I think i will be 5 weeks then, so will probably have to see him by around 8 weeks or so.I also have dull cramps, just a little uncomfortable

@baby- hey..welcome. I am based in jhb so i wont be able to help you much with the dr's in PTA. Please share a bit on why you are high risk, if you dont mind. :)

@zo3sta- How many weeks are you now? Are you saying you are showing already? that's quick.

AFM- i am feeling a bit of discomfort on my right ovary, not sure what to make of it. But hopefully everything is still ok with my little bean. Will be seeing my gynae tomorrow and the physician. I had eclampsia with my first baby, so i just wanna see them both to discuss a way forward from here. i need to know if i need to take anything else othr than folic acid, I hope eclampsia doesnt return :(

have a blessed day further ladies
