Awww zaza I am sooo glad that you have your mummy around to comfort you.. My mum was telling my BF that he needs to also be patient with me.. Lol...

I am 16w3d now... My scan is only on the 03/08... still two weeks to go...

My bday is next week crown bday. 29 on the 29th.

My weekend was good. Saturday went for a bday party.. the Bunny park is actually a very nice place hey.. even though they have been getting some negative publicity lately regarding their upkeep.. My daughter had a ball..

PS: I also love my mum, it truly only was when I had my first child did I realise the love a mum has for her unborn child to the child she raises to go out into the world. I sat with her this morning having breakfast and just hugged her and said mum I can see no matter how old I get you still see me as your little girl and still want to protect me and can't see me in pain. A mothers loves is truly a blessing and unconditional!!

Hello Pregnant Fairies

Hope you are all well today and how are those babies and bumps doing?

Personally I had a great weekend until late Sunday night, I went to bed about 22h00 and woke up at 22h45 with the most horrible acid reflux to the extent that my chest was so sore and hurting so much, I was downing the gaviscon, but it was not helping the only relief I had was standing then the pain and reflux would ease up, thank god my mum was there, she sat with me until about 3am calmed me down baby was fine moving and sleeping just poor me. she just kept giving me water to sip. It even hurt when I swallowed.

I did fall asleep sitting upright in the sofa at about 03h45am and the pain eased away was up about 05h30 cause hubby was getting ready for work, then went back to bed, I didn't go to work today but I ate yogurt very early to see and the reflux has not surfaced all day so far and I keep eating smaller portions to try and prevent any acid build up but I'm nervous about sleeping tonight that's when it troubles me most.

I called my gynae she said continue with gaviscon and the smaller meals, sleep on higher stacked pillows at night and not eat anything heavy after 19h00 but I am nervous. I had heart burn in my first pregnancy, but never reflux and never so much pain from the reflux and it all happened in the 3rd trimester. I am scared if this is starting so early going to be very uncomfortable.

@Carmy, don't worry if your bump has not surfaced as yet, it will once the baby bug starts adding on the kg's, and it just means you have longer time before the back pain and heart burn, lol. Gynae told me cause baby is getting bigger and pushing on my stomach that's why so much heartburn, apparently also the hormones we produce cause the stomach valve to be more loose so much easier to let reflux into my oesophagus, And with the added hormones release makes me suspect more I'm having a girl baby lol, all those hormones.

But your bump maybe different and not give you anything as well, I hope so I would wish reflux on anyone. Good luck with the scan tomorrow, hope you get to see everything!!! Please share the pics once you have them.

Welcome to the group Darlene I am 16weeks today with my first <3

Shame ladies, suffering with the heartburn already? When does that normally start?
I am still not having any symptoms and I STILL don't have a proper bump - People keep telling me to be grateful, but Its making me so paranoid!
My friend has at least lent me her Fetal heart monitor, so Hubby and I listen to Bug every night before bed

@Zaza, its the big party this weekend - Good luck with all the preparations
Sorry you couldn't see Noon's goods.. (LOL) but I agree that it may be a girl - All my friends that have had Girls could only see when they were around 6-7 months.
But on the bright side, at least you will have some colour variety - instead of only pink

I have my 16weeks scan tomorrow - YAAAAAY!!!! Can't wait I'm pretty sure Bug is a boy, but we'll see tomorrow (Hopefully)

Hi Ladies

Had a busy day today at work, hope you and the babies are all well.

@Nix I have the same baby I moving a lot much lower than my daughter did when I was pregnant the first time, I did ask the gynae, she said sometimes cause our body is used to the pregnancy we carry more anterior so the movement feels lower but it will change as the uterus and belly rising by the 6th month or so. I also have a bladder dancing baby, even saw the baby head standing on my bladder in the scan yday, lol. I have decided to start buying all the colours except pink and blue for now, i have no choice, just waiting for the birthday party to finish next week and then all steam ahead for baby.

@Nisha that's a lovely bump pic, the gynae also told me to eat more almonds for the heart burn, apparently it helps and she said if one banana a day is not stopping the leg cramps eat more banana, lol

@Lashy good luck house hunting and partying. please don't forget to rest!!!

@Darlene - yes please tell us more about yourself, I am 20 weeks pregnant with my second, also have a soon to be 4 year old (1 week to go until her bday)

Soooo I just got back from the Sandton Convention Centre, doing my bit for Mandela Day. Went to pack food for 67minutes.
It was such an awesome vibe.

By the time I walked into the office I was starving so having breakfast now.
Ham, cheese and tomato sarmie.

Zaza, I am sooo glad that baby is very active. You are right though the less you see the more it's a girl.. Lol..

Nisha, I don't celebrate Eid. I will be celebrating Diwali

Dalene, welcome, I am sure you will enjoy this group as much as I do.

Nix, the house hunting is going lol not very good but going. Going to see another house on Sunday, hoping this will be a taker.

We have another birthday party tomorrow at the Bunny park in Benoni.
Hopefully this is the last one for July. Lol.

I really need to start taking a good energy suplement. Any suggestions?
