So ladies I am attaching the fetal growth chart I found, for all your future visits, gives you an idea of the average growth, you baby can be smaller or bigger as all develop differently, but it helps puts their growth into perspective!!





@Happi - you have a beautiful bump already!!! Wow I also agree the second trimester is quiet and you feel so normal, lol. But have you felt baby moving as yet? I think here I can only book my hospital bed after 30 weeks will probably use the normal ward, usually only like 4 mums on any given day in there, but I like your thinking about a private room to have our drama queen daughters in with us under control, lol I have to find out the cost for a private room at our hospital cause my medial aid just pays for the normal rate.

@Carmy wow you little Bug is looking gorgesous, how emotional was it for you to finally see the baby growing so well?? Waiting to see how your bump is growing?

@Lashy how is the house hunting going? When last did you have nando's

@Nisha we did miss you, were not sure how your travel arrangements were going? Glad it's starting to fall into place, and your bump is looking very good as well.

Has anyone bought anything for the new baby as yet, I was so well organised for the first pregnancy I feel I am leaving everything for the last minute for this baba

Hi pregnant fairies

Hope you are all well, sorry haven't been able to post msgs, just been busy at work, so here's where I am with the pregnancy:

- 17 weeks and feeling good have finally gained 1kg since the pregnancy started, I have been watching my weight as I was heavier falling pregnant this time
- What's changed from the first trimester, no more nausea or tiredness, but I have some heart burn and my appetite has increased
- I am getting headaches more often compared to first trimester not taking anything for it, just staying hydrated
- I am no longer having sour worm cravings, eating normal things again
- my facial skin has returned to normal not oily anymore, but my hair and nails OMG are growing beautifully
- I now can only sleep on my sides, if I lie on my back it hurts after a little while however my upper thighs start to loose feeling or cramp if I sleep too long on one side, I now eat a banana before mid day it helps with the legs pins and needles and cramps while you sleep
- still need the loo every hour or so, for you first time mum's this may be a TMI fact but in your second trimester, you have a lot of discharge down there, lol
- my porridge brain is still there
- baby noon's movements are getting stronger, but mostly active when I am sleeping

I hope this helps some of you for the second trimester, please do share your current symptoms, maybe what helps with them and if any new ones are appearing!!!!

Busy party planning for my daughters 4th Bday party which is in exactly a months time........................next appoint is 16 July @ 20 weeks will be half way, can't wait!!!

I had a lovely aftertoon ysday, went to gym like I said I would energy levels picked a bit, woke up fresh and got busy in the plant this morning.

@Carmy- lovely pics dear, the suspense was killing us here lol. Im glad all went well with ur bundle. when is ur next appo? Mine is in 2 weeks, can hardly wait .

@Lashy- hahaha u just gonna keep on recruiting for team Blue with the thingy lol. I hope my lil thingy is still there on my next scan else haha joke is on me. My maternity leave is fully paid plus I'll get my bonus in Nov b4 baby comes awesome.

@Nisha- long time dear, we've missed u. Love bump pic by the way, I see there's hope for my bump at 16 weeks. I don't have maternity wear yet but I will probably get lots of leggings and stretchy tops, don't want a lot of clothes I wont be able to use afterwards.............
Just keep busy during July so u wont miss hubby too much, make it fun and do the count down

How are all doing? Im great. In 16 weeks now and didnt gain weight at all and doc said to check again in 2 weeks. Next month got anamoly scan, blood test and TT vaccination.

Looking all the pics u all shared just boosts my energy

Updates from me is visa still ongoing. Everyday walking..cooking..household stuffs just keeps me busy. I was busy with my husband's travel to Cape Town. He is leaving next week and im helping with all packing and stuffs. I have booked flight on Aug 1. Its gonna be long journey. Gonna miss my husband for a month and staying alone for a month sometimes freaks me out.

Missed all of u and all the updates. Did anyone notice i wasnt there

Ladies, u all appointed gyno or midwife. Which is best . Please suggest which one i need to choose. Shed some light on tat.

Also, where to get maternity wear and nursing gears, baby stuffs not expensive though. I need to plan financially also.

We don't get full Maternity pay - Only 75%, but its a lot more than I expected (We are all contract workers and get paid per hour - No work, no pay).

LOL full breakfast - I am already on my 3rd morning snack and looking forward to lunch.. LOL I am feeding a monster! I am thinking of starting a food journal, but the amount I eat scares me!!

Thank you so much ladies for all the support. Now that my boss knows I am eating non-stop. MS seems to have subsided for now...

Does noone else get full pay Maternity? Most companies offer it but you must be with them for over a year or so... They will probably ask me to sign a retention letter.. So wont be able to leave them anytime soon... Lol... Not planning to though...

Happi I booked my bed when I entered the third trimester with my 1st one.
They booked on the EDD but I went in 4 weeks earlier.. It was planned so I could inform them in advance...

I just ate a full breakfast Lekker dik now...
