Sorry to hear about the scare Liefie, I hope baby hangs in for a few more weeks and your sister goes home soon.

NnitaN - I'm so sorry your scan did not go as planned. May baby show off that little heart beat next week. Thinking of you.

Afm - 11 weeks today. So glad the 12 week mark is coming closer. Lots of stress at work and I'm feeling far more irritable and emotional than usual. Having my next dr's visit 27 Nov.

I am back, had to quickly meet a friend after the scan to distress.

I thought i was 8 weeks and today i was told im 6w1d, heartbeat there but doc not fully happy he said its slower that the usual...he wants to see me again next week Wednesday.

He says it might be because the heartbeat just started and we will see next week, I was a bit nervous at first but I told myself again my God is bigger and no fear will scare me.

Baby will have a strong heartbeat come next week.

She is still in hospital but thankfully baby still inside! let's hope baby stays for atleast another week or two!

My next scan is only on the 4th of December feels like in forever

A good friend of mine is getting married this weekend, I am so tired at night not sure how I am going to stay awake for the party! will have to take toothpicks to keep my eyes open! lol

Sorry about that scary experience, I just hope your sister is feeling better and baby is still hanging inside...I'm also scared of a premature baby I don't even want to think about that.

I am going to see my bean today and looking forward to it, seems like yesterday wen I went for my first appointment...I wanna hear the heartbeat.

how was everyone's weekend?

Ours was fine got a little scare. My sister is also pregnant and got booked into hospital as it looked like labor was starting
(she is 33weeks and few days) her first born as like mine also came early at 33weeks. They seemed to stop it but her cervix is still soft so she has to stay over another day.

It is really making me nervous as I was hoping this wouldn't happen (in my mind if she is able to carry the baby full term I should be too)

I cannot describe the heartache to leave the hospital without your premature baby it is awful!

Have any of you thought by when you will be taking maternity leave? I think after this it is eminent I will be taking much earlier as anticipated.

I think either way everyone experience pregnancy different I know of a friend that only really got excited or felt it was real the day she felt the baby move. I don't think there is anything wrong with it I have come to the realization each one experience it different and one shouldn't be judge how you feel. It's like the movie "What to expect when your expecting" Some woman glow
and love being pregnant others keep waiting on their glow and they not too fond of being pregnant.

It is so nice to be able to chat here and just feel like you are still normal because with all these hormones in me I really do not feel normal sometimes! hahahah

That is shocking! I hope you are planning on sending that email.

I was just thinking about your conversation about how moms with kids are having different feelings with their second one. I am pregnant with our first and i am struggling to think of this as 'real'. I am at 9 weeks now and not feeling pregnant (just hungry all the time), so I am not as excited and not yet feeling any bond going for the first scan next week, so hopefully when we see something on the monitor those feelings will kick in. I am feeling a bit guilty about this. I sometimes even completely forget that i am pregnant!
