wow that's beautiful! thank you for the kind words Snowflake
And thank you NnitaN for your kind message too xxx
I was meeting a friend for lunch today, took my 1year old with. We were about 5min early
the waitress assisted me with the babychair (its called a tot seat, piece of material and folds onto any chair to make a baby chair)
My little boy is at a stage where he is VERY attached to mommy like he clings like a monkey! so when I tried to put him in and she strapped him he started to cry as he though I was giving him to her. He settled down very quickly. When I looked up the manager of the shop gave me a very disapproving look (while hanging lounging onto the counter top across the room) I ignored her.
I ordered toasted sarmie for him waiting to put my order in for when my friend comes. I then start to notice each customer that comes in the manageress makes it her duty to "warn" them not to sit close to us as "die kind skreeu al van die inloop slag" I couldn't hear the rest. I kept looking at her to show her I am actually hearing your conversation!! she wouldn't make eye contact with me. At the end my friend came as my sons sarmie came out and I begged her that we could leave and rather go to another place she agreed, I was made felt so uncomfortable and unwelcome... I was a paying customer... The waitress heard when I told my friend what happened and she brought me the owners business card asking me to please send her an email as I am not the first one to complain...
Even though the manager saw me up and leave she made no attempt to come and ask what is wrong etc... and after asking the waitresses yes she has kids... You would think someone with children would have more understanding towards other mommies!
But we had a super lunch at a small quirky coffee shop just around the corner - TOTAL different experience
Sorry for the long message just had to get that off my chest!
