Yah! So both of you will be having a scan next week!!



My first beta at 4 w = 827
Second beta at 4w3d = 3271

I went for a scan last week Thursday. i was 5 weeks and like 4 days or so. we could only the see the yolk sac placement.

going for another one next week. i will be about 7 weeks and 5 days.
my first beta was 6514 which was last week. i am not sure what yesterdays reading was.

I think the 2 of you will go for your scans before me. My FS only prefers to see me at 8 weeks for the first scan. I am going to try and push for a 7 week scan though.....I will not be able to wait that long. With all my other pregnancies I manage to quickly get a scan with our local GP at 6 weeks to confirm the pregnancy and in all cases we could have picked up on the HB already. But, it was also during those scans at the GP that the missed miscarriages were confirmed later in the pregnancies - so I have a negative block about going there again.

I will rather pray and believe until I see the FS around 7/8 weeks. If he does not want to see me at 7 weeks - I will keep the faith and wait until 8 weeks.

He wants for me to go for another Beta count on Friday and then another on 6 weeks as well. My betas are nice and high, so I doubt if the reason is because he is concerned. I suspect it is to check that the placenta keeps on developing and growing.

I have also been tired and feeling very sluggish/bloated this week. I also noticed yesterday that my thighs are suddenly a bit bigger and my pants don't fit so nicely. My boobs have also only started getting sore in the last two days and fortunately no nausea yet!

My scan is booked for next Tuesday as we predict I will be about 7 weeks then.

When do you ladies go for your first scan?

How are you ladies feeling otherwise? I am SOO tired these past few days. can barely keep my eyes open at work!

I'm such a beginner at this and i have no idea about most of these tests! All I can say is that i am praying so hard for you ladies and that both of your pregnancies go smoothly.

My only concern with the tests is that it reveals a possible problem and you spend the rest of your pregnancy stressing and then the baby is born with no problems whatsoever. I suppose the days of being totally stress free are over hey!

I just received my BETA and it is 4345! I am about 6w1d, will get a better idea once I go for a scan as I don't know if i ovulated normally after the IVF cycle.

We will also be doing the anatomy scan at 20 weeks (I have also done that with my previous 2 healthy pregnancies). I would prefer to just trust in God and not do all these tests, but I am a worrier in nature and after all these losses it is worse. With the 12 week nuchal fold scan they usually do a screening bloodtest (it is standard). But, that bloodtest gives a lot of false positives. Since I am older - the Harmony / Panorama is recommended.

If the cardiology problems in your first pregnancy is related to chromosomal issues - I suspect they might suggest the Harmony for you as well. But, if it was purely congenital - then they might not.

I am really so sorry for your loss with your first pregnancy. I do not think a mommy ever gets "over" something like that. I believe that this pregnancy will be fine - you will have a healthy baby. Luckily we are all here to cheer each other on and support one another. December 2017....will be filled with little sweet HEALTHY babies and lots of love and our only worries will be whether we should be buying Pampers or Huggies.
