Juno - Yes my new work is keping me very very very busy I have to sneak a minute in Lunch time to be able to chat to you girls. So I tend to get a little behind on all the posts. So if i put something totally out of date on - IM SORRY.

Juanita, funny thing about the dummy - Jaqi is doing the same lol. Eventually she falls asleep with it in her hand and not her mouth... so cute.

Let us know what the paed says today Juno!! Leandi has all sorts of cups and bottles. She mostly drinks out of her tommee tippee cup (more like a bottle) which is also spill proof, but she really doesnt mind. Will drink out of her Hello Kitty belly washers bottle or her soft spout cup, shes just really not bothered.

So i think she is trying to tell me something, but im not quite getting it. She doesnt want to be rocked to sleep anymore. So last night i just put her in her cot and sat with her and she fell asleep. OK. (The rocking was never a issue for us, i LOVED rocking and singing her to sleep, it was our special time together).
Lately it is as if her dummy is irritating her (she only uses a dummy when she goes to sleep or for naps during the day). She will put it in her mouth, then take it out, shake it around, put it back in, take it out, and then eventually throw it out the cot. Last night i told her im not picking it up, she was fine, for all of 1 minute, then she started moaning for it and eventually crying. i gave it back to her and she was happy. But then the whole game starts again. In, out, in, out, shake it about, throw it out. Pick it up ... about 3 or 4 times and then she fell asleep. Im just wondering if shes not trying to tell me its time for me to wean her off it? If i have to think about the fact that she will cry everytime she needs to nap for 2 or 3 days i already feel stressed!!!!!

TOday will be a long day

I am seeing a bride tonight. She i sgetting maried on my birthday (12 march) bare foot on teh beach and I I I yes ME will be shooting it My FIRST beach wedding and I can not wait yayyyyyyyyY! Tonight we'll discuss some details and such.

Last night's chat went okay - I guess I am just not THAT convinced that it is now better... Dh and I are butting heads over the right way to handle this as he feels we need to be more strict and just say this stops NOW, behave like this any more and you'll suffer the consequences. Where as I feel threatening the child that he must get over it RIGHT NOW or else, is not right. Afterwards, I went to talk to Reuben and we practised him introducing himself to othe rkids. Hello ek is Reuben, wat is jou naam, kom ons speel.

I told him he must go to school to learn and be clever and that one day when he is an adult he can get a nice job which pays a LOT of money and he satrted fantasizing about being rich hehehehehe. I also told him I am not far, the school is just around the corner and he must not feel alone cause I am always close by. This morning I told him what to expect from his school day (like Juno? suggested) and he seemed happy to leave. I gave him a photo of me and him, put it in his shirt pocket and told him, that way I am WITH him ALL the time, even at school, so he won't have to be home to be with me. He was very happy about the photo and grinned

SO now I can only just hope and pray all goes well.

Thanks for all the b’day wishes for Liam. We had to do something on his actual birth day so pudding tonight was a chocolate cupcake (miniature one) – what a mess!! That pic will be shown at his 21st! How did a year pass so quickly? Only 4 months and I start the whole cycle again..

Juanita the appointment is tomorrow so should be interesting to see what he says re the crawling. Sounds like Leandi is going to be up and about soon! What kind of cup does she drink from by the way? I’ve tried those sippy cups and Liam hates them. I bought one of the non-spill 360 degree cups (brilliant design) which are working a lot better.

Charlotte I must say you are a lot quieter than you used to be =) Liam is also now predominantly on a morning and evening bottle with juice during the day – he will sometimes ask for it during the day but rarely. Milk quantity is 250 ml per sitting. He will have anything up until 500 ml of liquid (diluted juice) a day and also refuses water and tea.
