Hey August mommies we have birthdays coming up soon! What are you planning for the second birthday?
I reckon at this age they are still a bit small to have the full on kiddies birthday party, but of course its a big deal for the family so we will probably just have a family get together. Ethan being the typical Leo will love having all his favourite people around and will love all the attention he will undoubtedly get. Since his birthday is on a day that he goes to playgroup I plan to bake cupcakes and make partypacks and then of course I will have to bake a birthday cake for when the family comes - was thinking of a cat or a bear - those are fairly easy.

Hi Ladies .

Havana is still struggling with her teeth, though she is still eating and drinking her nido fine. She gets very thirsty during the night though when we make a bottle , she takes a sip and off to dreamland again. Well i hope it gets better soon.

hi, ladies
I must say, I've also been giving the topic of milk some thought after seeing that Ethan drinks First-growth milk...

Lori, I wouldn't worry too much about allergens etc. The vast majority of us grew up with the milk that the milky used to drop off and we turned out fine, right?

Re. the organic drive, i am so with you. I try to only buy organic or free range produce (fruit, veg and meat). In fact, I use a company that delivers our organic fruit and veg every two weeks. We pay about R160 for about 10 different fruits and veggies - enough for 2 weeks.

I have also been toying with the idea of perhaps gradually replacing Erin's milk bottles with cow's milk. Maybe start with the one she gets in the morning and see how that goes...? I'm scared to change her night-time bottle, I'm too scared to change anything in her sleep routine now that she has finally started sleeping through...

Lori - I still give William nido 1, and i think it is bit cheaper than parmelat - just see how much it works out

Welcome to the thread Ankia!
Seems like boys and balls and scooters is quite a theme here :)
How much does he weigh?

Had a conversation this morning with an "organic expert" about whether I should switch Ethan to free range cows milk. He is currently drinking Parmelat's first growth milk which is a mixture of soy and cows milk. I want to switch because Parmelat is expensive, but at the same time I am concerned about growth hormones in cows milk, hence the fact that I want to go the free range route. Anyway she was really adamant that I should try to avoid cows milk, because of the allergens and try and get the calcium intake through joghurt, veggies etc. But there is no way that Ethan is giving up his milk at this point.
Any ideas ladies?

Good afternoon

William was born on 28 Aug 2008, and he is getting so big
He still drinks 2 bottles of Nido one with afternoon nap and 1 with bed at night
He also get 150ml of Horlicks in the morning

William does not eat, so that is why we took the horlicks road, with the nido
He also drinks a homeapathic medicyne to increase his appetite, and it is working
He picked about a kilogram in the last month

William loves his scooter and ball
