August 2008 mommies

Mine was born the 4th of August and oh yes, the tantrums have started - actually they have started a while ago. Sometimes I have to keep myself from smacking him, sometimes I have to hide the fact that I am laughing at him (he hates that!) and we have now finally started the time-out. Works like a bomb. have only done it about twice now, but now the mere threat of a time-out gets him to tow the line (for like 5 minutes ) I think he hates the fact that time-out means being separated from us. Smacking does not work because it sends the message that it is okay to smack. But I wish I can stop him from hitting and biting and kicking when he gets mad. Like Jewel says, it gets real embarrasing in public - looks like one is not able to control one's child...

Wow, I only found this thread now. Well my lb was born on the 29 of August 2008.

Oh boy the tantrums have started! If he doesnt get what he wants, than he will throw himself to the floor & roll around I try to ignore him & he eventually stops. Or sometimes it gets even worse. I just cant wait for it to pass! Its most embarassing when we out in the shops or mall & he throws one.

Besides all of that, im really enjoying my nunus Especially now that he is starting to talk, well he says alot of words & is slowly starting 2 words now. Its too cute when they talk gibberish hehehe It just makes me smile!

hey there , i was supposed to be a september 2008 mum but turned out to be a August 2008 mum to a beautiful little girl.

she is a very fussy child and the tantrums are too adorable that all i can do is laugh ,

she throws her self at things when she does not get her way and from her pic here she has a naughty face

my boy was born 1 sept 2008. he is not that bad on tantrums. all i want to know, when are they ready for time out?? i don't think he understand it yet, and i don't want to smack him.

are there any August 2008 mommies around?what are your little ones up to and how are the tantrums coming along?
