Hello everyone,

I'm so glad to hear we're all in the same boat. It has been going better with Colby this week though. I have put my foot down. The problem is...he is so cute! When we tell him no, he smile and laughs. Very hard to stick to your guns!

Mari - how is M sleeping? We've been doing sleep training (again) since Thurs. He has slept through once and only wakes up max once a night now. *Though I might just have cursed myself!) When I leave him at night, I tell him firmly that he must go to sleep on his own but whenever he calls, I will come. I never thought it would work, but it is. If he calls, I go in, cuddle him, tell him I love him, then put him back into bed. Usually he falls asleep on his own though. I also stopped all bottles at night. When I offer water, he has heart failure, so I know he's not thirsty. I give him an empty bottle and tell him it's finished. He was waking up every hour...it was getting a bit much.

Deja - Sorry about your boss. I would hate that too. Is there someone higher you can complain to? Nice bump btw! I think you're having a boy! Such a nice bump!

Lizel - you're tummy is tiny! You are tiny! I am trying very hard not to hate you! :P I'm also a big softy! I think we have to be that way, otherwise, poor child would have 2 meanies!

Sorry everyone else, thats all thats on the page and I can't remember the rest.

Can't believe that our LO's are all going to be 2 soon! Where did the time go? I'm enjoying him more everyday and really can't wait to see how he reacts to having another person to love. I am trying to spend as much time cuddling him as I can...he is growing so fast!

A second pregnancy is really weird! I'm sad in a way that Colby is going to share the limelight. Feel guilty for doing this to him. Then there's days that I wish the baby was here already for him. Very conflicting feelings.

Have a good weekend!

Deja, I dont go on the horse with her, but walk next to her..there is also a guide holding her so she dont fall off.. Also the small children ride on ponies, the horses are way too big.. The gallop was only for a minute or so but enough to scare her..there is another boy riding with her, he is 2, and just loved every minute..They do theraputic horse riding, so I am a bit confused.. I am giving it another month and see how it goes..otherwise will stop for a while until she is bigger.

Vision, yes, I am going to visit my parents in KZN, as Renier is away again for the weekend.. Am looking forward to relax and get some rest..
Amber's got this thing, when she is not feeling well or having a off day, she wants me to pick her up and she only sits on the one hip and clings for dear life..If I dare sit down she throws a tantrum, she basically wants to force me to do things her way.. I put her down and she can kick and scream..walk over to the couch and sit down..she will then come sit by me.. MY way..LOL

I must say it is so nice to come and read that we are all going through the same thing and my child is not possessed!!! This stage is really difficult for me ! The tantrums in the shop are so embarrassing...

Deja you are so right it is important to not give in and keep to your word it teaches them in the long run. That is what I am trying to do. R is mad - we get to the till to pay after a huge tantrum and she is serene and calm with the cashier - puts on her best sweet act?????

Lizel i also hate it when people stare - it makes you feel worst than you already do. I didnt know they had such a thing as a sleep trainer - that is cool but you will have to move out cause you wont survive the few nights of crying ;) that lady sounds like she is just looking for attention - sad because if something really does go wrong then what?no one will believe her

Lonie sorry about Ambers tummy - glad it is better. Are you guys going away next week? She is not even 2 and they want her to gallop on a horse no wonder it freaked her out. I dont think in that case she was manipulating you she was just scared!!!

Nadia I also have to battle to keep my cool when the tantrums come because I just want order and control in my life and having a toddler throws that off. A lady in edgars was sympathetic. Her kids are 4 and 6 and she she told me it gets worst and takes a few years for them to become "normal" :)
