Rebekah has such bad nappy rash - my poor baby gets such horrible nappies when she is teething :( but otherwise she is the sweetest thing ever!!! SHe is sleeping so well and wakes up in such a good mood!

Lizel yippee on the crawling - see she did it in her own time :) how is her bump. Sorry about the stuff that got stolen!

Marijke I say you should go for it. 2 days a week for a few hours will really help you and it will be so nice for B to make some friends.
Rebekah doesnt want to come home in the afternoon from school - she loves playing and have other children around.

Claire so nice to hear from you - Colby is gorgeous and he is growing so nicely!

Jana I am so glad you and DH had a chat and now you can start working things out :) Sounds like you are enjoying your week at home!
I am weaning Rebekah at the moment. I have decided to stop now that she is a year.

Adele just ignore those people and remember that the July moms love ya and love seeing your pics and hearing about Tyren.

Sumayad Hooray - finally a pic of you , you are so pretty!!!! Love your boob boy!

Charlene you are going to have so much fun and it will be nice for you to have a night out! YOur DH will cope - he sounds like a hands on dad!

Paula cant I come for lunch and supper - it seems you are always cooking up a storm :)

PAT - that is hectic news friend!!!! I hope you are feeling better today!!!! Did you chat to your DH?

Morning everyone

Claire, I feel the same you do.....strongs and maybe a cleaner once a week is not a bad idea.

Marijke, I would jump that opportunity.

Charlene, the kids will be fine! Dont worry :) Hubby will most probably also survive it ;)

Hope you all have a super day :)

Mommy to Micheala, Liam and 2 step daughters.

Oh Claire, I feel you on that topic! I usually let things go, feel silently guilty about it but then it takes me ages to catch up again. We moved the office out months ago and the papers that came from there are still on the diningroom table waiting to be filed or shredded and every day I look at those stacks of papers and think "I am so failing!"

Monday I did great and cleaned the whole upstairs but tuesday B was difficult and screaming at me and I smsed my mom and asked her how she did it and she told me "let me know when B is awake from her afternoon nap and I will come fetch her so you have some time" - I never smsed her back. I just feel she didn't decide to have a child at her age so I can't stick mine on her when I'm under pressure.

I don't know, I'm just so stubborn but there are meetings and writing the minutes from the meetings, doing the month ends, VAT, PAYE and all those wonderful things and moomie.

I had a maid. I would sit with B the whole day on my bum and watch the maid do the work (well she did a half ass job) and think 'I could have done that myself, look how calm B is today'

What the hell is wrong with us women!

As for how I am...thanks for asking! :P I am good...just trying to figure out how to relax. Ever since I had Colby, for some or other reason I feel so stressed. My DH says its because I have this picture in my mind about what kind of a mother I have to be and that the reality isn't like that. He knows me very well. I never feel good enough. If the house isn't perfectly clean, I stress that I'm failing as a housewife. If the house is clean (because I spent all day cleaning) I feel like I'm failing as a mother because I basically ignored my child to do it. I need to let go and realise that if my child is happy, it's ok if the house is a little untidy. Just don't know how to do that. He wants me to get a maid...then imagine what a failure I'll feel like!

I guess we all feel like this. I think especially SAHM's. It's very difficult because you feel guilty all.the.time. I just really don't like the person I'm becoming. Always stressed and always complaining and always tired. That's not who I want my son to grow up knowing, that's not who I am.

So maybe it's time to listen to my DH's advice. A maid once a week won't kill me and like I said...a more relaxed mom is a better mom. :cheer:

OMG marijke: you are so not being fair on yourself. you have a just about to be toddler on your hands, there is no way in hell you can keep a house clean with her around, trust me ive tried it, it just doesnt work.
you are not only doing this for yourself but for her aswell, the little bit of interaction she will have, and she is sooooo good at loving her friends now, i would go for it, its only 2 mornings a week. go for it!!!
i wish i could. you know i wanted to do that!!!

adele: i serioulsy wished those ppl would leave you alone, gosh, how much and what do they want from you...

fairy: i lay bards down in his cot, stick his barney in his hands with the label in his fingers and he falls asleep playing with the label. you must realise its not gonna come right over night. have you tried a baby pillow with the frills on points he can lie and play with.
also try the sleeping bag. warm his room with a panel heater in it, keep room warm so that if he kicks his blankets off he is not getting cold. have enough layers of clothes on.
bards doesnt suck his dummy at all at night, so i cant think that being a reason for waking up. if his room is warm and he warmly dressed he shouldnt wake up cause he kicked himself open, its just not making sense to me!!!

lizel: i will think of you, my movie starts at 8...

i am so nervous, kids with hubbie and angelique is not gonna let me leave, he will take them to the video shop and while they out i will leave, but she gona know something up... he said tough shit, she must cry!
oh hell... im so nervous!!!!!! i have never been out alone without the kids!!!!!! leaving them with hubbie for hours!!!!!!

calire: i loooooooove colby's rolls, he is so cute!!!

pat: i am thinking of you angel... look inside your heart and you will find the answer you need and will make the right decision. and i pray this thingy fybriod thing dissapears!!! evil stuffxxx

Marijke, if I could do that for R35 a morning I definitely would jump on it! I agree with Deja, the interaction will do her well. Also, you will be less frustrated and stressed which will mean you'll be more relaxed around her which will actually make you a better mother. So stop with the guilt! If you aren't enjoying it you can always take her out and back home.

Lol @ the supermilk Deja! Yes I am still bf. Trying to stop at night so he can sleep better. I took him to the dr. on monday for a check up because he's always scratching his ears and the dr. told me to stop feeding him to make him fat. It was like he read my mind! I've always been told that fat babies make clever people. Dr. says I must feed him now till he's full and then stop. So no more force feeding the poor child! He weighs 12 kgs!!! I want to bf till 18 months but I'm already so over it! Are you still bf? I don't even know how I'll ever stop!
