Claire, so nice to hear from you! I have no idea why they say 2 yrs, 7 months, but I am now thinking I want to wait till N is 4. I don't know. I am torn between having a newborn (and am very broody) and just spending more one-on-one time with her.
Colby is ADORABLE! He still has his rolls, how do you do it? You have supermilk! Are you still bf? How ARE YOU DOING? And what new things is Colby doing?

Pat, I would try straight away if I were you. It must be a big shock to you but it's not that much sooner than what you initially planned for? It is exciting in a sense!

Marijke, I would go for it. It can only do B good to interact with other children and two mornings a week is nothing. And there is NOTHING TO FEEL GUILTY ABOUT. How you SAHM do it with NO domestic help is beyond me. I would not cope, I can tell you that. One day at home and my house is a mess and I just don't have the energy/lus to clean it now.
I must confess if I were to ever stay at home, I would go visit friends very often. As in every day.

So I would like all of your opinions on something.

There is a woman in town (I see her house from our house - that close) who started a playgroup in her house. She takes max 6 kids on tuesday, wednesday and fridays from 9am - 12pm for R35 per morning. She has an opening for each day still but I have to jump. The kids are all almost 2 years old and the youngest one is 15 months. Only one is over 2.

So should I send B? I was thinking 2 mornings because I'm not coping so well with keeping the house clean and all the other things I have to do and I don't see the 'other things' getting less anytime soon. But on the other hand I feel guilty for not coping

Hey girls,

Pat - go for it. If you can't conceive later because you waited, you will ALWAYS regret it. If you've had your heart set on 2 kids then 6 months won't make such a huge difference. If it means Adam will be 6 months younger or an only child? I would definitely pick 6 months younger but that's just me. You must be so upset! Hugs! Talk it over with your DH and you'll see, everything will be fine. Didn't you spend a month on your back? You can do this! ;)

Deja - I wanted to ask, why does sleep sense say a 2y 7m gap is best? I am trying for number 2 in November. Already started charting because I want my girl. Glad to hear someone else wants 4 kids. I'm going to have my first 2 close together (2 year and 2 month gap) and my next 2 when the youngest is 4. That way I can enjoy the next batch because I think having 3 kids under 5 will be no joke!

Fairy - you should really look into the no-cry sleep solution by Elizabeth Pantley. Everything the sleep therapist is telling you is in that book. We introduced Colby to a Lovey (a small fluffy dog called Doodles) and he is sleeping much better since then. I would really recommend getting him attached to something. We just gave it to him everytime he nursed or cuddled with us. He has only had it for a month but knows now when I give it to him that it's doo doo time. Strongs! Sleep training isn't for sussies!
