I did read the thread and in some odd way helps to know that im not the only one with these type of issues it just drives me nuts that she constantly picks and picks and picks! i feel if you give money or gifts do it with a good heart or dont do it at all!!!

Sam tell her to F off. Amandalynn started eating @ 5 weeks and she got RSV @ 21 months, what can she blame that one?

Sam im thinking of you. i had the smae with Amandalynn granmother, she told me what i can and cannot, i should speak baby language to her (WTF is that) so i very polity told her that im the mother and i will do what i feel is right and she has 2 option she can either support me or be quite. she didn't speak to me for about a month and yes she also did the whole i buy and give so much. so i told her that she can take it all back, because a gift does not give you ownership over a child. After the month of silence she respected my rules and klaar.

My current MIL is a gem, she lives all the way in Gauteng and i stay in Cape Town!!! that is what i love most about her and the fact that when we do see her, she respects my rules with my kids.

Im glad that you and all the LOs are doing good, myself and logan are also fine he's also just very very busy!!!!

I am soooo frustrated with my MIL you have no idea, she came to visit only to look for sh!t with me, she flew into me from a dizzy height because she wants to take logan for a weekend and im not ready to let him sleep out yet! so now she says i dont trust her she then went on to tell me its my fault Logan got RSV when he was 4 months because i didnt start feeding him a 3 months old and then when he was sick i didnt hang bag of garlic around his neck or rub vicks on his feet and thats why he got sick again because i listened to my doc and didint take her advise. When DH tried to stick up for me she asked him if he was choosing sides... WTF... I told her there is one thing i have a problem with and that is when she kisses Logan its not a kiss and thats that she lets him suck on her chin we all know he is teething and these things cant always be avoided but i feel her being the adult should know better and move him away from her chin because she has make-up on, she smokes and GERMS (she is always sick) well you can imagine how well she took that, she got so cross that she went on to throw everything she has ever done or bought for Logan in my face. I just left because i just couldnt take it anymore and when i got back she acted as if nothing had happened and told me how much she loves me and im her only daughter BlahBlabBlah, I am at my wits end with her i dont know what to do! I am now the one who feels hurt/guilty even though ive done nothing wrong!!!!

Sorry for this long story but really needed to vent!

Sorrel, I saw the thread on changing baby. It takes forever to change Luke. It's all done standing up. He stands against his compactum unpacking everything and I work around him. Its quite funny.

I think what I resented the most about cigs is that they controlled my life but that's not the reason I stopped. The only reason was pregnancy. It is the thought of being controlled like that again and the difficulty I had in giving up that give me the incentive to not start up again - though believe me it has been a monumental struggle..I will always miss it.
