Lizelle, SNAP!!! Mishka does the same to the honey dummy, chew the side and the ring. Uses it as a theething toy! She took to the Mam silk dummy, but also takes it out and bites the sides. She does suck though and it does soothe her.
Also hate it when they wake up crying and DH asks what's wrong with them.
Lizelle, have you tried putting the food on you finger and feeding her with your finger?

Maryke, so sorry the boys have ear infections. Poor boys.

I've tried every other dummy on the market since day one, nothing works...but this is how she plays with this one the last few days since those 2 teeth made it's appearance

I just had the school phone me they had the lady that does the ear test there and both boys have middle ear infection AG REALLY! So of to the doctor we go to clear it up!!!!!!!Arghhhh!!!! Just as I thought we are going to have a antibiotic free winter!!!!!

Chan oats is so easy to make I just guess it oats and boiled water cook untill soft and then I add the boys milk to cool down a bit with butter and tad of sugar yes I know big NO NO but really oats without butter and sugar is gross. Glad you ad at least 4 hrs solid sleep still doesn't make up a full night but it's something.

Kayden's 2nd tooth made it's appearance 2 days after the 1st - wow not long and now giving me hell on earth.
Seems like it's messing with the tummy as well, first it was weeks of bad nappies, and now she's struggling to get something out. And the mouth is sore mommy.
Got so angry at DH last night, i was busy rubbing her mouth with Prodol so she started to scream wich is understandable, (DH sleeps through everything -always!) and as soon as she gets a bit too loud - he tried to make her quiet by shouting her name..Kayden!!
I took her and went to her room (about time anyway that she sleeps in her own room) but the fact is that was not needed as i was the one causing the crying.
Yes she's been sleeping in our room, so i could be close to her. But it seems like i'm going to move to her room (just for now) - there is a bed and a cot. I have a LG screen monitor, but i want to be close to take care of her before screaming for bottle is needed. Can't DH just accept that this is how it's going to be with her for the time being - she's teething and babies cry - as he likes to tell me during the day that it's needed for a baby to cry sometimes. This morning he wanted to know if i know what's wrong with her (huh??? Where has he been? not if he doesn't know she's teething), i just told him it's her tummy and teeth.

And the eating - damn i'm struggling with her, and she's almost 7months!
Still on the Porridge (Cerelac Regular), Purity's not working at all!! This clever girl plays with those 2 lips and keep them tight and close so mom can't get anything in. Tried Sweet potato the other day and it looked like she wanted to puke the moment it got on the tounge. This weekend i tried carrots, and the face and bib got more than the tounge! Couldn't get the spoon in. Normally i get the porridge in with a sruggle but this is worse!! Don't want to force otherwise the eating will stop completely. Any tips girls??? My boy Riaan did not have any eating problems, was eating from 3½months and always wanted more and more.

Oh and the snotters is back @ both kids, just as it seems to be better, it's back But all the little one's at the daycare has it, so it's gonna clear difficult - but at least everything is coming out.

Carmen, i so want Kayden to take the dummy, she only sucks the fingers. Not sure if you saw my FB Photo's where she only chews on it but on the wrong side It would just make her more calm.

ChanM- I agree with Maryke - hats off to you!! You are one strong woman. Hope the tooth makes its appearance soon. The 4 hours consecutive sleep must have ben awesome!! Pity it didn't last.

Maryke - I'm sure the physio will go well, hope they won't need the casts again. at the underfeeding - happens to everyone.

Well Mishka woke up almost every hour and half to 2 hours again last night ( she did the same on Friday night), starting at 11:30pm. I thought it was her teeth, fed her at 3:30 - and took her to bed with me at about 4, she was still niggly and only fell asleep at about 5. If she does the same tonight I will feed her first before popping the dummy in her mouth. She has been eating at night, won't allow me to put the spoon in her mouth, I think it's because her gums hurt. She did a little when I put the veggies on my finger.
She started taking the dummy about 2 weeks ago, refused it before. And she drank from the bottle yesterday!! The day mom said she had 2 x 100ml bottles!!
One bottom tooth is starting to emerge, I'm using Ashton & Parsons at bedtime and Prodol (on her dummy) during the night. She has a runny nose and had flushed cheeks this morning.
