Jan/Feb 2011 Mommies (Nov & Dec 2010 early babes)

Morning!

Just wanted to let you know the paed was really concerned because I put on a great show! Even shed some tears and told him my marriage was about to end in divorce if we didn't get to the bottom of the problem and get some sleep!

Anyway he decided to first to allergy tests. Which we did - took little man for blood tests. He was so brave - didn't even cry! Just moaned because we were holding him down! Have to phone paed for results today - but I checked with the lab yesterday already and he's negative to dairy, wheat, soy, fish and eggs!!! So there goes that theory!!!

Kade does have really really bad reflux at the moment. So he's now on 2 Losec tablets a day and 5ml Gaviscon 3 times a day! His throat is even raw because of all the acid burning it!

His first tooth came through yesterday!!! Major excitement in our house!! Shame but this morning we can't feel it because his gum is so swollen!!

Last night was a bit better. Asleep at 8:30. Then awake 10:30, 11:30, 1:30, 3:30 and 5:30. Better than the 9 times I got up the night before!

Paed also said we're wasting our money on Nan HA. There's no reason why he needs to be on it at all. So who knows now wha tto put him on!?!

So I think for now i'm going to sit it out and wait the 2 weeks like everyone says it takes for the Losec to start working properly and then see what's next! The paed wants to do a Barium x-ray next to see if he maybe has a hernia inside as well and also to check for any kinks in his colon and also to see how bad the reflux is.

Maryke, glad the move is just about on the go!! Well done on the new tooth! As for the feeding, I would also be peeved about it, that lady is not your babies mother, so why does she think your boys must get more food? Surely mom knows just what to do!

Lizelle, shame, hope you feel better soon, glad the kiddies are better. or just about. I must be honest I started giving babies Vidayling agian and now Im giving them creche guard and they havent been sick again (touch wood) they have been sick quite a few times, its not nice.

Mandz, well done on J's injections, such a brave boy! And the clappies are so cute! My brothers baby who is now 4 months was weighed today and he is 9kg!! They have advised to start him on solids, lol. He is a big boy, he has probably taken over my lot! Cant wait to have them weighed again.

this weekend I made a lot of soup to freeze for them, I made veggie with meat and a chicken soup. But I havent introduced greens or meat or pasta to them (i have chicken) and doffi mother goes and gives them veggie soup which has all of that! Shame, they complained, I felt so bad!! Today I mixed greens with their chicken soup. Thank goodness babies dont know better, lol. Ladies who cook and freeze you own food, What I do is once I have left it to cool, I put it in packets (zip lock bags) and I lay them flat so they freeze that way, so much easier to store in the freezer, takes up less space, also do the same with butternut, I put it in a big freezer bad, let it rest so it spreads then once its frozen, I break of pieces that I need. Iv been giving them tea now and then. Im a little nervous of giving them finger foods, just because you still have to watch them and even with like the teething biscuits, pieces break off so I must be on a constant watch. We gave them dried mango yesterday (we held on to the end so they could just suck on it) the girls absolutely loved it, they complained when we took it away, but Alessandro just pulled faces, I think he is going to be like his mom! A tad fussy! Alexia is rolling all over the place, she sees a toy and she will roll herself towards it, the other 2 also roll, but not like Alexia, you can see alexia has mastered it and she wants to do it. They fight over toys!! When one plays with one toy and another takes it the other will complain or they klap eachother with it cos they shake it cos of the noise. Its funny, but I have to watch them always now, I am going to need eyes at the back of my head once they mobile.

Enough about us!

How are all th eother ladies doing? So glad tomorrow is a public holiday, an extra day home with dad

Hi Suhaila, sorry no bb for me, got the Nokia C7, but i've got WhatsApp, also a Application that could be downloaded and you can sms & mms for free.

I'm on leave today, but it could've just as well be sick leave anyway - went to the doc -got a throat infection very badly. Said if i still had my tonsils, it would've been tonsil-infection. Today would've been the 3rd day for not eating. Couldn't even drink one sip of cold water. Best diet plan ever • eat nothing for 3 days!!
Well got antibiotics and a mouth "wash" to make the throat numb (so i can try to eat) and Gen-Payne for the pain - got to eat otherwise i can't take the meds. It's so sore!!!!!!!!!

Well hope i'm better on Wed, got to work by then

Hi everyone:) i have been very naughty about posting, my apologies:) Mndz what have you been stressed about. Lizelle i need to get my but in gear, Aaqil turns one in |December and i have no clue as to what i am going to do for him. He turned 8 months on Saturday. i wish he would take growing up a bot more easy, he seems to be in a rush to accomplish everything and as my only and first baby i would love to just savour everything:(

Mandz stressed about what?? Don't tell me the weight thing - cause we really can't compare our little one's - i think Gene's play a big role.

Kayden is sooooo lazy - not even rolling from back to tummy yet, only halfway. Tummy to back Easy. So for sitting on her own, standing on moms lap and the rest will take a while it seems - so i get jealous when i read of your little one - clapping hands. So Cute! Can't wait.

Chan hope you get a new maid soon, and that DH will come to his senses for your and kiddies sake.

Chan- I know, he is picking up on so much now. Really a divine age. If you lived closeby I would come pull an all nighter with Kade so you could sleep. Now what hubby did is NOT on. I mean its hard for everyone, it's not like you can just not come home one evening! Its extremely selfish. But I think its a male thing. Like when they sick, the world comes to an end and they can't do anything. Yet when its us, the duties never stop. You can't just put the kids in a cupboard and go to sleep! Have you got anyone that can help you for a night and day? Maybe you need some you time? If I remember correctly you had a night nurse-maybe its not a bad idea. Surely the Paed can get to the bottom of this Chan, I mean you guys have tried everything now. Let us know what the outcome is please...

We just got back from Paed, all if well. Jordyn weighs 8.48kg (yes you all must be feeding your babies steroids!!!! hahahahahah). She wants me to move to 5 meals a day(2 snacks) and try the finger food thing aiming to have him eating what we do by one! (Oh my hat!!!!) So if you have nay advice please enlighten me. She said I can try toasting bread slightly and give him fingers etc.

But most off all.... Jordyn came out dry eyed and mom had a few tears instead!!!!! He had one jab and no tears, he was too busy enjoying the attention from Dr and her assistant. Then they said wait the second one hurts way more. And STILL not a peep from my boy!!!! WOW! I had to dry up my tears! LOL! Then they went on to say I should have taped it so they could show all the babies in the waiting room how it is done! *Proud mom *

So after the chickenpox jab apparently she says he is probably going to get a fever, and in a weeks time could get a bit snotty, red eyed and spotty from the measles one. But not necessarily. I lean to hopefully not

Ladies, hope you all have a lovely weekend and those that are sleep deprived and need a break-I hope someone put dynamite under DH bums and they spoil you to some free time.

Some activity here at last! Yay!!!

Lizelle - wow what an awesome sleep!! Wow you are really jacked up hey - already doing invites!!

Mandz clapping handies is the cutest thing ever! Ah i just adore babies from 9 months of age! I have to admit i'd way rather have them from 9 months than newborns!

Kade does the same thing with food - he "grills" that his whole body moves! It's so cute we kill ourselves laughing! Last Friday he kept grabbing my chow mein off my plate but as soon as the noodle touched his lips he'd grill so badly that his whole body would wobble!

9kgs??? Oh my oath i've really got a giant! kade is 13kg's!!!!

Maryke i'd have been so pee'd off with the school. Gosh they could have just told you they're feeding the boys at 4. At our creche we have a book where all meals, drinks, wee's and poo's are recorded as well as when they went to sleep and woke up. Don't they have something like that so you always know what's going on with the boys?

As for us - nope sleeping has gone back to almost non existant once again! He basically sleeps until 10:30pm now and then awake every 15/20 minutes. I'm so freaking done now you have no idea. My marriage is SO on the rocks that last week Tuesday my DH didn't even come home from work. I was a damn wreck the entire night with the kids at home on my own. He just said he was done he can't do this anymore. Didn't sleep at home - says he slept in his office - but who the hell knows. Like I really need to deal with this now on top of everything else. And my new maid walked out on Monday as well so i'm hunting for a new one again and have to get Kade used to her.

I must have done something seriously wrong in my life to be punished like this.

We're seeing the paed on Monday again and this time I want answers and help. Im not leaving his office without a constructive plan regarding Kade's tummy. He must not even think of offering me drugs just to drug him to get some sleep because i'll have a total freak out in his office.
