Jan/Feb 2011 Mommies (Nov & Dec 2010 early babes)

New to Moomie, so thought i'd join this discussion. I'm due 8 Feb but my other 3 children all came 2/3 weeks early so preparing for mid jan. Cant wait -over being pregnant 4th time around but still trying to make the most of it knowing it'll be my last.

hey ladies. how was the meet??? so wishi could've been there. there was on ein ct but i don;t really know anyone. didn;t go. was busy at home with cameran's room and running after ashley. i generally find that i am very tired on saturdays because i try to recover from the week that passsed. tomorrow craig's folks are coming from a braai. will be nice.

for those with little girls already, p&p clothing store has gorgeous little slip cotton dresses with little ties at the shoulders for R49. really cute.

vix, i'll eat my shoe if you hold on to 38 weeks! holly ha! i'm 'booked' for the 3rd jan (my mom's birthday) at a hospital closer to my house - not the one where dr hottie works.

update on my gynae app on firday... he strongly has a bad feeling about me having a vbac. he cant shake the feeling. he 'authorises' quite a few, but not feeling good about me. so i will wait and see. hopefully i will go into spontaneous labour before the 3rd jan and will see how things go.

baby is very busy. very busy. i didn;t pick up any weight in 3 weeks... dr asked what i have been doing... i said i expected to since i have been eating like a horse. oh well, less i pick up now, the less i need to lose. gonna do that atkins diet as soon as i can after the birth. i wanna go back to 60kg and being a skinny minnie - i have a small bone structure but 1.69m tall, so i used to look good.

anyway, hope everyone has a restful weekend. i am off to bed now now.

about anina;s birth - just shows that the body's natural instinct cannot be fought, re: pushing. that is what my MW said that she did nto agree about hypnobirthing because in a way, it is not realistic. i am well proud of anina though, even though i don;t know her.

We had the most amazing photo shoot today! It was so much fun! Photos are going to be stunning!

MommyN- i completely forgot to say last night, if you're craving ice and feeling tired and down why don't you try taking an iron supplement? I had 1 month where i didn't take it and I tell you i was horrible! My head was fuzzy the whole time no matter how much sleep i got, i craved tons of ice again and my temper was just as short as a munchkin. Maybe mention it to your gynae at least. I have felt fine ever since i went back onto the strong supplements and i think the tweenies were just making mommy anemic.

Hope everyone is doing great this morning! I am so sad that I cant join the coffee meeting! Thought of pretending I am sick and cant make "family" thing, but I could never do that!

Had an emotional evening (again). Guess I am still waiting for the tabs to kick in fully. DH was supposed to be home early, but then a friend called who is visiting from Tanzania and they ended up at O'Hagans (actually friend messed him around a bit about timing) so when he walked in at 8pm I wasnt the happiest of people. I had asked him to stop at Spar bec he was supposed to be home early and I couldnt face getting Missy in and out of cars (lazy I know). In the end, it wasnt about him or him going out, its all about this family thing today and this man my mom is now seeing. I really shouldnt be worrying at the age of 35 about who my MOM is dating... I'll get enough grey hairs oneday with Missy and Baba! So wish me luck... hopefully I wont lose it today...

By the way, I lost it in Deschem during the week... like only a preggie fairy can... LOL

Vix, I'll see you on Monday. I am picking up Nelria, I think earlish - she said it was better. Hope that is ok.

I agree with what you're saying about always looking to see how well the babas are doing and forgetting about how well the mommies are coping. My Dr is good that way, he said he's impressed with how I'm coping and that I have no water retention BP is great and urine perfect, He says I am healthier than a lot of women carrying 1 baby. I think he likes that I am low maintenance, he knows when he sees me walk in his rooms he's not about to find something shocking or bad LOL

We have recently decided aswell, it's nice to celebrate kids birthdays but we never celebrate the parents who actually made it all possible so when my aunty comes out from the UK next week we are having a parents celebration in honour of all the great work we do for our children!

O.k I am off to bed because I hope to get a good night sleep and be ache free for the coffee date tomorrow! Can't wait to see the girls! Probably for the last time before we all become parents again (well for me anyways, soon I won't be driving at all).

MommyN.... ummmm, well its a bit of both, Iv been doing work (uncomfortably), and then went to the shops to go change a few things from the baby shower, needless to say I am sore, my back, my legs, my feet!! And I have been having non-stop BH, but spoke to Meags, think its just an overworked body, going to have a nice bath, was going to do work tonight but I think Im just going to chill. Aaaah the joys
