went to gynae today. baby weighs 1.72kg at 31 weeks, so it seems this one may be smaller than ashley was. she was 1.8kg at 31 weeks... we'll see

stupid kidney is getting pumped full of antibiotics again, so the tenderness now is what the prob is.

shhooeee! but this tot did a complete 180* turn-around on friday night... had a rather interesting bonk with DH which left me contracting hectically for 3 hours afterwards, actually had to go to bed it was so painful. sat woke up with intense pain down there but up there. carried on for sunday and monday and relaised that the normal little hiccups that i was used to feelingon the top of my tum was downa t the bottom. dr hottie confirmed the head down position today.

i was so pissed off on tuesday. it rained in cape town and the traffic was insane. usually it takes 45min to my office, and it ended up taking 2hours. i had such a bad pee on as well which is NOT good for my stupid kidney. fetched my colleague and drove through to hermanus which is about 150km out. were there for one hour and drove back to the office to drop my colleague then i went home. all in all, i drive for 5hr53mins. i was knackered. i did a urine test that night and it showed blood, glucose, leukocytes, protein, everything! rested on wed but barely because my nanny had flu. so i ended up running around after my busy 15month-old. so ya, this has been one hectic shmectic week.

i've lost 1kg! woohoo! do not know how the heck that happened.

maryke - seriously relax friend, i am buggered with full day work and i am carrying one baby, so i cannot for th elife of me understand how you do it with 2!

Maryke- oh hun, I feel for you! So pleased the bedrest is helping. I must say I don't feel nearly as bad as you sound! I hope the bedrest will keep those babas in for a while longer! Xx Cool about saturday, we'll just have to see you next once the babies arrive.

I have bad rib pain again today but I think it's because I didn't use the back massager before bed last night.

Chan- that is so interesting, I honestly never knew that they did Amnios to check lung development! Amazing! If they do decide on an early induction there are plently of tricks to try and soften your cervix before hand.

Chan at least your DH was listening

Just remember with an induction, if your cervix is not ready to be induced, the induction will 99% fail.

Your gynae needs to do a bishop score to evaluate if induction is favourable or not.

Carmen glad the gastro's fixed! Sorry about the water retention being back!!

Ok so I asked my DH last night to explain the part about the amnio at the gynae because I wasn't really concentrating at that stage!! He said Dr said at 36 weeks he'll have a clearer picture of baby's weight and if he's engaging. If the weight carries on the way it has and I really want natural birth, he can induce me so I can have the natural birth I want. But he won't do it at 36/37 weeks without me having an amnio first to make sure his lungs are fully developed first. So I feel a bit better now understanding that as well! Hehehe!

Has anyone started submitting UIF forms? I see it's supposed to be submitted 8 weeks before the birth - which is now for me!

Maryke - men are just a specimen on their own. DH knew my baby shower was on Saturday - so he asked me on Saturday morning where must he now watch the rugby if the whole house is going to be full of females? Me, myself and I - that is his motto. He told me yesterday that he has to be in India on the 17th of January - I will be sitting with a little baby of 2 or 3 weeks old Any way he will be flying my folks up to come and stay by me - he is just sometimes on his own planet (well, most of the time). I don't mind him travelling but to soon in the new year is a bit scary. Very committed to his work!!!!!

I am on bedrest seeing doc tomorrow, had such bad pains on teusday I really thought these two where on there way but doc said I must please go rest I have been over doing it the last week working full time and I think the pressure just got to much

So hubby askes this morning so when are you coming back to work I sometimes really think he is dof I said to him last weekend I am finishing of today or well I was suppose to, I just wanted to finish of the last big tender that closes today so had to pass that of to someone else and he goes o that's nice to know when was I going to tell him I still said to him I want to finish of the babies stuff sort out my own stuff and blah blah blah, eish men

Chris vix I must say the last two days in bed has really made me feel better I can actually walk without wanting to cry because of all the pressure

Vix I doubt I'll be making it on saturday but will see what doc has to say tomorrow...
