hi tracey! welcome to this corky group

cool, 2 new mom;s in a few days... we are growing (as well as the tummies). i went to the office today and my colleague said that i have 'dropped' tremendously and quite bulgy to the front. you cannot tell i am preg from behind... atleast! i've also been feeling alot of pressure down there from baby;s head. this is my 3rd preg, so they say the babies drop a little sooner.

meags, can you clarify this above? you are such a star and full of incredibly interesting insight - thanks for all the advice you post - it is fab!

maryke - oh may hat! is it only 2 weeks left for you? scary how time has flown by. were you a fertility patient or did you naturally conceive twins? vix, and you? my BF in namibia had a son 9 years ago with her late husband with no prob. her DH now has only a 3% sperm count so getting preg naturally is virtually imposiible. she is coming down on 13 dec for IVF to cape town to the BESTEST BESTEST fertility dr's - dr heylen and le roux at kingbsury. these guys rock and are awesome in their personalities. so, guys, please keep my sweet friend taryn in your prayers. i will post a pic of her so that you can put a face to the name. she is with her mom here in the pic.

Genesis is a great place for a natural birth (I work there occassionaly). Have you been seeing a midwife and gynae from there? Or are you just interested in having a birth there?

I joined the link a while ago and been reading a few of the posts from time to time but only now got the courage to introduce myself.

I'm 26 weeks with my first bubba, EDD 22 Feb. I'm 32 years old and now live in Jhb. Originally from KZN.

I'm a bit sad I missed the meet. Would love to meed other new mums to be. Hope I am able to catch the next one.

Yes Vix, my belly also goes super hard, sometimes I have similar pains but its not with every BH, so my dr said if its comes with pain monitor it, if there is any water or blood, or well, serious pain, go straight to ward.

Meags- thanks, it was more of an ache than a pain, you know like the day before your period when you feel like your womb might just fall out? LOL Thanks so much for your advice, it's great to have someone with your knowledge around! At first i thought it was just both babies pushing outwards but i felt and it really is every single inch of my tummy that goes solid. It's still weird for me because i never experienced it once with my son.
