Thanks Vix, I actually looked for Super C's but couldn't see and didn't feel like searching the store again, but the sweets and water etc I will get dh to buy for me closer to the time.

Well Im glad I bought those gel packs then :) Ive heard warmer is good for the breasts, hence hot showers on them, I think it might be nice to put it cool on the cut after c-sec, but might just keep them stuffed in my bra anyway :)

Chris- LOOOOVe the 'A-Team' LOL so cool!

I think it must be awful to have to go to work this far along! I take my hat off to you! I can barely sit at the PC for 10 min before i have to get up and stretch, it's getting so enia, thank goodness for the BB i can reply laying down when it gets bad! But to work a full day wow, no i would really struggle with that!

I have those carriwell gel breast packs and they are great! not cheap but really worth the investment, rather hot than cool worked for me when i became engorged, it was the only thing that really helped and because they are actually designed for the breast you can wear them inside your bra around the house for as long as possible, i promise you, you won't be sorry you bought them. I don't have a lot of money but i did say one thing i will not scrimp on will be anything to do with my breasts and feeding!

Also get yourself lots of nice sweeties and goodies for your hospital bag! nothing like a great treat when you're laid up in hospital! Also a sports bottle for drinking water if you're having a C-sec because the first few hours after the op you're really thirsty but you are laid down with little mobility.

I will see again where the C-sec advice thread went to and bring it to the top again, i might actually save the thread to favorites, might save the constant searching.

Carmen- you crack me up with the sawing of trees! I am sleeping wayyyy too light for snooring I'm sure!

 I just typed up this whole freaking long post and copied it to paste it in the reply box instead of quick reply cos I wanted to hide something and while waiting for the page to load I had copied other stuff for work  How dof can one get?!

Ok, here I go trying to remember all.....

Chan, glad the room is just about done and glad you got spoilt at your baby shower, great for you not having to get much now!! How is Kyra doing with new meds? And is she still sleeping on her own?

Suriya, hope you feel better, not nice about having chiclen pox :( please take care, r u back at work now?

Carmen, lol about sawing the trees, dh is the one that snores, Iv been battling so much with congestion with the pregnancy that my nose either whistles or I breathe very heavy.

Vix, I think many families in SA r used to having domestic help, but I agree with you 100% and take my hat off to you, we are so spoilt with having help here and some people comment how they cant believe how overseas people dont have domestic help, just goes to show. If you've done it before I dont see why you cant do it, you're a strong lady, heck, I think Im too shit scared of doing it on my own!
... I have also been sore, not constantly though, but depends, last week I was sore at the top of my tummy, you explained exactly how it feels, It must be the weight of the babies, plus everything else, my "lady" is sore when I wake up in the mornings and I must be careful how I stretch as I might just get a cramp in my leg! Now and then I have these pains by my pelvis, feels like u do when you get a stitch after a run. But I can feel my body taking strain now, think I might speak to boss to work half day next week then start bed rest week after. Saturday after the shops I just lay down and later slept and slept.

Yvette, your photo's are stunning, she is so nunu's!

MommyN, hope the heartburn/snoring stays as is and doesn't get worse! ;)

Maryke, hope you are feeling ok, is all the family over the flu now?

Binks, glad you are doing well and Vanya is growing nicely!

Sterretjie, Im a first time mommy (and second and third, lol, if you can say that?)

Jessica, where I come from 3.6 is a big baby, but like you say, its sturdy and strong. Ok, normal for is is from 2.6-3kg, from about 3-3.3 is normal and more than that is big, lol, but thats only because of the babies that have been born in our family, nice to have a big baby.

Vix, we landed up getting the Bambino Infanti pram, bright green, but its one of the nicest ones we saw, there were other nice ones but we liked this one the most, mil got a single one to match it.

Saturday I went to dischem and got the rest of the stuff for my hospital bag, which just needs to be packed now, only think I am missing is balck face cloths (I think). I also got the Carriwell gel breast packs, can be cooled or warmed, they fit on the breast, wasn't on special but I also want' going to sit looking for a cheaper one as Im sure there are, but that was for a pair. Ok, got 2 breast feeding bras and the panties from woolies, also got my pj's, but I got the JT1, so not really pj's as such, 3/4 pants and vests but I can wear them without the gown if its too warm or whatever, the vests are spaghetti strap tops so the straps can easily be pulled down for breast feeding.

Hi all

Vix - can't believe that some people have the audacity to make comments of that nature and to blame your DH - If you wanted and were able to you would have a domestic - she had no right to rip into your DH that way!!

Suriya - what a shock the chicken pox must have been - glad you are better.

Chan - wow sounds like and Kade were thoroughly spoilt!!

Maryke - can't wait the see the pics-

Maryke and MommyN - My dh says to me last night before we fell asleep that I must please not sleep on my back so that I wouldn't snore - he has asked me several mornings how many trees I've sawn off during my sleep ! LOL.

Sterretjie - I'm in the same boat as you, as a 1st time mother.

Morning ladies,

Maryke- sure email me what you want to post and I'll put it up vickie@babybear.co.za

oh i am still so sore, i woke up better this morning but already now the pain has started again, these days are so long, i will mention it to gynae on friday but ultimately it's just from the pressure of too much inside my tummy. Although the babies have grown my tummy hasn't gotten any bigger which just goes to show they are really taking up all available space inside hence the pain. I am a short frame, although not skinny so carrying 1 baby wasn't too bad the 1st time but i think 2 is just slightly too much for my body to cope with. Maryke, you're about the same height as me so i can imagine you're also suffering.

Chan- so pleased you and Kade were spoilt on your baby shower, it's so nice to un pack everything when you get back hey? Baby booms own brand scented nappy sacs R18 for 150 and they smell quite strong so stock up on those.

Yvette- thanks for the dischem specials, i need nappies for my boy so will be going in as soon as i get my grocery allowence.

o.k so the thing i was complaining about on FB is basically this, we had a guy from DH's work over with his wife and kids for a braai and she overhears me telling my mum how sore i have been with the rib pain. She proceeds to climb into my DH about how we NEED a domestic and NEED someone to care for my boy full time because it's unfair how he makes me do everything when I'm pregnant with twins.

I don't have a domestic because i can't afford one especially now that i can no longer work, i can't afford a creche or Nanny for C because DH's salary barely covers the bills and now we have 2 more babies on the way. So as much as it is going to be hard work as long as i am not able to earn money we really just cannot afford any domestic help or childcare.

I get really Pi$$ed at people who act like a woman cannot survive without help. If i was still in the UK i wouldn't have domestic help even if i was a working mum never mind SAHM. So for me i graciously suck up the work and try not to make a huge thing of it. I have never once complained that i cannot cope with my chores of mommy or housewife so for this woman to climb into DH and treat him like a villain was so cruel and unfair. Not once do other people consider the monetary side of taking on staff.

Especially once the twins are here we will have 2 more children to pay medical aid for, 2 more babies in nappies etc so even less so will we be able to afford help.

Anyways that's my rant over, i just wish people would remember I'm not on paid maternity leave, i have no job therefore no income so i have no choice but to do it myself and i don't even complain about it, it is what it is.

Binks- glad your LG is growing nicely! great to hear from you still!

Sterretjie- it's completely natural to wonder if you will cope, in all honesty nothing will prepare you for motherhood because every mother and baby is different, i just say go with the flow and try not to worry about how you will do this or that, keep an open mind and see what works best at the time.

Jessica- before we know it we will be chatting in this thread with out second babies turning 2 and 1st ones turning 4.

I think I'm going to be lucky to make it to December with these babies to be honest, my body is shot to pieces and I'm feeling a whole lot of weird rumblings, fumblings and pressures down low that i never experienced before.

ChanM - I was really sick before the rash started but after it came out and the fever stopped, I was fine. I just made sure that I rested alot and drank plenty of fluids. We all thought that Thashreya would get it as well but she hasn't.

Morning ladies!!

Hope everyone had an awesome weekend!

Suriya - chicken pox??? OMG weren't you really really sick? I haven't had chicken pox either, but I had the vaccine about 5 years ago on my Doctor's orders as it's really dangerous in adults especially if you suffer from asthma which I do. Kyra aslo got the vaccine at the same time and we've never had it.

Sterretjie don't worry about those moments of worry and doubting if you'll be able to cope. I have them all the time. Kyra's 8 already and I brought her up on my own so I know I can do it. Now I have a wonderful DH who helps with everything and I still worry if I will be able to cope. It's perfectly normal to have these doubting periods!

Jessica good luck with your scan! Let us know how it goes!!

Binks nice to hear from you! Glad Vanya is growing so nicely!

Yvette thanks for the info on Dischem. Will be going there this week to get the last few odds and ends we need for baby and myself. Going to start packing our hospital bags next week! Scary thought!

Vix how you doing? Shame I'm so sorry about the bad pain you're having. What does your Doc say about it? There are stronger pain tablets that are safe to take in pregnancy. Just ask your gynae to prescribe them.

AFM baby shower was amazing! Gosh was Kade spoilt!!! Oh my word! I was still sitting unpacking last night! Not even finished yet! The only things I still need to get is nail clippers, scented nappy bags, Telament drops and a baby brush. Everything else is sorted.

Nursery also almost finished. Just need to get the curtains this week then we're done!!!
